Philips Automotive Lighting9004 NightGuide Platinum Upgrade Headlight Bulb, Pack of 2

We have a 1997 Nissan Maxima I've been trying to keep running (>210000 miles) for the benefit of two daughters. The older one smacked the grille out of it a few years ago, so I know the headlight assembles have been replaced, but you never know what you get with repairs on old cars. Anyway, while she is away at college, it mostly sits in the garage, and I occasionally drive it just tot keep the battery charged. Most recently, one of those jaunts was at night. Good grief, did the headlights suck! So much so I thought this was safety issue, so I did some research, and it seemed the Philips X-treme vision bulb replacements might help the situation without having to spend too much on an old jalopy. Bingo! While it's not like a newer car with HID or LED headlights, it's definitely in the realm of satisfactory, and *way* better the the stock bulbs. I wouldn't have believed the difference if I hadn't seen it myself.

Price was good.Not as bright as I hoped.Really need something in the 4000-4500k range but would have to pay more.Installation just depends on vehicle.Mine is a 99 jeep grand Cherokee with faded housings.Haven't used long enough to say how long they will last.Seem better than basic bulbs.

I put four stars because it didn't meet the expectations I wanted to but to be honest I am my own critic I drove this sucker yesterday and fell in love before I was blind behind the wheel now I can see so this is actually an excellent product please don't mind the four stars can't wait to drive tonight I love night drives now

I was hoping for a brighter light. It’s just ok.

Did not find these to be much brighter than stock bulbs.

Significantly brighter than stock. Before replacing both bulbs I did a rudimentary comparison with the vehicle facing a white wall. Installed the Philips X-Treme on passenger side headlight and a PIAA Xtreme on the driver's side. The brightness difference (if any) between these two are indistinguishable. Unsure of the Philips' lifespan but the PIAA lasted for about two years.UPDATE: I purchased these in July 2016. One failed December 2018. For my experience it's safe to say the Philip's lifespan is roughly the same as the PIAA - 2 Years.

Let me be clear, the 9004 bulb design and housing is complete and utter trash. That being said, I was hoping that these would be a bit brighter than the OEM bulbs in my 1995 Dodge Grand Caravan. They were barely brighter than 15 year old bulbs, to the point that it was impossible to tell from inside the vehicle.Honestly, if I wouldn't have thrown the old ones out, I would request a refund on these. If you have a 9004 headlight, you are better off going with the cheapo bulbs, or ones that actually use 55 watts on low beam, instead of the 9004 standard 45 watts.

My 97 Ram 2500 lights were not cutting it specially when road was wet I could hardly see anything. These 9004 bulbs helped brighten up the road.

Creo que estas con las mejores lamparas de reemplazo que se pueden conseguir, iluminan como un foco de alto wattage pero consumen lo mismo que un OEMDe noche iluminan muy bien y parece que no ciegan a las personas que vienen en sentido contrarioMuy buena inversion 100% recomendables si viajas seguido de nocheSolo que aguas con arrancar el auto con las luces encendidas ya que son un poco especiales y el bajon de corriente las puede fundir

El empaque es deficiente, no se puede reutilizar para guardar las lamparas cuando se usan eventualmente o guardar las lamparas que se van a remplazar etc., Es mismo empaque que utilizan las lamparas que se compran en el súper mercado a un precio 12 veces menor.La luz que emiten es mayor que la lampara de alogena que tenia mi carro después de varios años de uso, pero según las pruebas practicas que hice, son aproximadamente 50% mayor luz. Según un video de youtube de una compañia alemana que su nombre empieza con H, en una lampra que este mismo fabricante que marcaba como 30% mas luz solo alcanzo un 8% mas de luz.1.-SERIA INTERESANTE QUE EL FABRICANTE CORRIGIERA SU EMPAQUE, MAS AUN CUANDO LOS PRODUCTOS DE VENTA EN LINEA TIENEN MAS RIESGO DE DAÑO EN EL ALMACENAJE, TRASLADOS Y ENVÍOS.2.- TAMBIÉN QUE HAGAN PRUEBAS DE LABORATORIO Y PRUEBAS DE USO REAL, ASÍ SUS ESPECIFICACIONES SERIAN MAS ACERTADAS

Si iluminan más, fueron reemplazo de otros Ultra Vision que ya tenía, y sí se nota la diferencia entre los nuevos y los viejos. Iluminan más con el mismo wattage*El lado negativo no es hacia el producto, sino hacia la logística de envío, pues venían en un sobre. Estos focos de por si tienen una vida estimada menor por sus características (comprensible), pero que el empaque venga en un sobre, aumenta la probabilidad que fallen.

Not that much brighter for distance but a nice clean sharp white light. Unfortunately the bulb lasted less than a week before high beam burned out of one.

Not as bright as I hoped but they work well. Came quick and worked right out of the box. I'll go 80/100 on the next purchase but I'll still give these 5 stars for the quality and ease of use.
