There's absolutely no damage on these boxes. They're well made and in perfect condition. If you're looking for SMALL boxes in gold and dark brown, look no further.However, the materials are listed as stainless steel and the pictures make it look like the fasteners are silver. I love silver. I hate gold.They really don't look gold in the pictures, especially next to images of other boxes. Turns out, they're gold. The images also look black. The leather pieces are really dark brown. The wood itself is a nice black.Also, I looked at the size and was expecting something much larger. It's my fault because I didn't read the centimeters and I expected 11x18 in. But as a US website selling to US consumers who measure things in inches primarily, the dimensions could have been listed in inches.So, my fault on the size, but it was misleading. Their fault in the color. I can't use them for my intended purpose at all. Not sure if I will keep and try to paint them or return them...

Amazon app isn't letting me file the return. I started the process and the continue button isn't working.I ordered two sets of these. Both are defective. One of the emblems are missing. Both have indents and bows in the wood. On the inside of one of the lids it looks like someone ran a wood burner across it leaving a cracked lid effect.
