These Regatta R Professional are extremely well waterproofed for your comfort;-) They are light/thin enough that when the weather starts to chill, a warmther sweatshirt with hood may be a good idea under the jacket. If you got the black/navy/green and go out in less than ideal visibility conditions, you help mitigate this by either holding a light-source or reflective strips to attach to your jacket.The jackets come with just two hand pockets , but these are v.large enough for pair chunky gloves, a small bottle of water and large phone(Android phones come to mind here), the zips appear to be of very good quality and the seams have been welded to prevent rain ingress . The jackets are very thin and light which makes them perfect for stuffing (they DO come with small stuff-sack) in the bottom of your bag, they are even cheap enough that you may be able to afford more to put into other bags, so you don’t accidentally forget to put it in you new bag. 1or 2 for your vehicles.If you need a backup waterproof that you can use for when you forget your regular waterproof, thenI think these are just about right

Simple, lightweight, effective rain coat, perfect for the golf bag or tucked into the boot of the car for when needed

Used this when caught on the golf course in poor weather and kept T-shirt dry not seeping through so very pleased.

Nicely lightweight. I've only ly worn it a few times, but so far it's been 100% waterproof. Hopefully it'll continue to be! Easy to pack into the supplied pouch, though you need to make sure it's dry first.

Well made, but not very breathable. No mesh liner to keep moisture away from your skin. Useful as an emergency in a sudden downpour, but wouldn’t want to wear it for prolonged periods.
