Medicine Ball Workout
After completing the exercises in "The Great Medicine Ball Handbook," I felt I had achieved a full-body workout. The exercises are divided up into: Core, Lower Body, Upper Body, Throws and Catches and Rotator Cuff. If you are exercising by yourself then you can't do the Throws and Catches. You also need a small medicine ball to do the Rotator Cuff exercises. For most of the exercises you can use a 6-pound medicine ball. Some of the exercises include:Standing TwistCrunchPullover Sit-upSeated TwistSplit squatReverse LungeTricep ExstensionOverhead TossThe easiest way to use this book (so it stays open) is to cut it in half. Then, simply punch holes in the corner of each page and put it on a metal ring. This will allow all the pages to lay flat when you are exercising. This book also includes a brief section on stretching, muscle diagrams and information on aerobic training. You can start with as little as 8 reps per exercise and work your way up to two sets of fifteen reps.~The Rebecca Review

Small Book - Big Benefits!
I bouth a 4-lbs ZoN strength training ball two weeks ago and really needed to know more exercises to make use of it. Having now read the book and started working-out I can feel my muscles and core strength improving. I even get my husband to work out with me!Having said that, I agree with my fellow reviewers:- Great for beginners- Advanced level exercises included- Includes a few partner exercises too- Well written step-by-step instructions- 4-color pictures make following the exercises easy- Nice layout- Includes stretches, warm-up and other useful sections- Small format- 64-pages feature more than enough exercises to satisfy everyone's workout routineI'm a Do It Yourself person in many aspects of my life. It's great to find resources and tools that don't make you think. This is a small book with big benefits - you'll like it!

Great intro
Wonder what those medicine balls in the gym are there for? Very rarely did I see anyone using them. This brief book gives you an introduction to all the different types (more than one?) and shows the exercises. You can even get a rebounder to "play catch." However, the revelation for me was there are 21 core exercises you can do! Some of these are similar to exercises with dumbbells or kettle bells, but some not. There are also 10 lower body, 6 upper body and 12 throw and catch exercises, with 4 special rotator cuff exercises. Who knew? Would only wish there were a Kindle version for me to take to the gym.

Great book on the basic exercises for medicine balls
I really like many of the books in this series. I am a middle aged fat guy just starting out on a quest to loose a lot of weight and get healthy. I learned the basics here in this guide. I am not an athlete nor athletic at all. This book has lots of pictures and text showing me exercises and how to do them with lots of good tips. An excellent resource for a guy like me

Good book for the novice
This book has a lot of good exercises in it. I was looking for different exercises to incorporate into my workouts. I haven't had much experience with medicine balls, so this gave me a starting point. It does have a lot of two-person workouts as well, if that is something that you are interested in.

Good book. Actually an excellent resource. Priced high.
Arrived today. Took 21 days to get it. (Excuse me, why?) At first glance, it is very expensive for a little book-Just a little more than a pamphlet. But it does seem concise. Photos small. Font too small. Full color. Contains ads in the back. Maybe you should try to get it cheaper than the $10.95.That said, it is actually a very good resource. It is lightweight & helpful for work on the mat. Its small compact size ensures it probably won't be forgotten on a shelf somewhere. Use it. It's helpful.

Lots of good ideas
I used this book to develop alternate dynamic training routines for the soldiers I work with. To that end we got several good workouts, as well as supplementary workouts and filler exercises from this book, and not one of them were a waste. I like this book and I recommend it.

Great little reference
Let's get this out of the way, this is very short book. It's short because it has no extraneous, useless info. The book is well designed and contains a great set of med ball workouts. Definitely worth picking up if you want to work out with medicine balls.

Much, much Better than expected!
Very happy with my purchase - bought as part of my birthday presents from my son - a huge preloved amazon book haul- The book is Descriptive with diagrams easy to follow and to the point’- Has simple instructions-for the money it’s a good little book (I bought my’n used as I do all books, there’s something special about preloved things) a great starting point, small enough to pop in your draw string gym bag (I use a small draw string bag for in the gym - fits my sweat towel resistance bands extra hair grips/bobbles and this little book and another little yoga book) and extra water bottle- Buy it if you are looking to start using medicine balls frequently

Medicine Ball Exercises
Having made my own medicine ball I quickly found there are very few books that tell you what to do with them. This slim booklet gives an introduction including a short guide on stretching, then roughly 60 exercises covering most body areas. The book is too brief when covering sets, reps, weight of ball to use, etc. About a quarter of the exercises require a partner. However it does cover the basics and many exercises are good fun to do
