SnapSafe Gun Racks For Pistol and Handgun Storage In Gun Safe

It works
Ordered rack for 8 handguns. Works well to save on space. I like the fact the rack is pvc coated to prevent metal on metal. Surprisingly sub-compacts fit on the rack. Pleasant surprise

Will not keep all types of pistols secure.
It is well built, sturdy, but most pistols don't balance well on it, and end up falling over and bumping into their neighbors. My longer barrel single action revolvers seem to do ok on it, as long as they are all next to each other, the ejection rod housing forces them all to lean uniformly the same direction so it works if that's all you use it for. I ended up using the Savior equipment racks instead. They work universally for everything even X Frame Smith and Wesson's as long as you provide enough head room for any optics you may have attached to various pistols. As far as this wire rack, I can see it being of limited use at the range or potentially as a place to work on pistols.

Sturdy and reliable
I bought a couple of these to outfit a gun safe. They have a nice vinyl covering to prevent scratching, and they are quite heavy-duty. You're never going to bend them accidentally. I provided this same review for the other capacity model of this device. They offer a nice way to store multiple handguns in limited space, although you need to make sure you ahve enough room for the footprint of the legs. There are two potential "gotchas".First is the width of the openings for the individual guns. The cylinders on an S&W Model 28 and Ruger Blackhawk are slightly too wide for the openings, and the guns hang up rather than dropping into place. I think you could bend the rack slightly to resolve this, but it would take some force. It doesn't make the guns unstable at all, so I'm just letting them rest on the rack side. They're only an inch above the intended resting point, and they're stable. The second is that for compact weapons like a Llama .22 or S&W Shield, the barrel may not be long enough to span the front to back opening if the handgun is set in place right side up. The solution is to set it in the rack upside down, so the gun is positioned as a "V" shape an will span the opening.Overall, these are an excellent value, provide safe and stable storage, and are well designed.

It Works. It's Cheap. What Else Could You Want??
I bought the 8-gun rack after looking at a bunch of different styles and manufacturers. When I got it, I realized I already owned the 6-gun rack from the same manufacturer. I've had the 6-gun rack for at least 5-6 years. It just sits there and holds guns. Amazing!Listen, this is a pretty basic item and will probably (I hope) be the cheapest thing in your safe. That said, I can't see any reason to spend more. I read some of the negative reviews, and I'm thinking maybe those people shouldn't be allowed to own guns. There is essentially nothing wrong with this rack. The only reasons I didn't give it 5 Stars are: 1--the Manufacturer doesn't put their name on the rack. It would have saved me SOOOO much time if I could have looked at the one I already had and just searched their name. 2--My S&W 629 .44 Mag *barely* fits in the slots. As in: the cylinder touches on both sides. The rack is coated, so I don't see this as a problem. However, if you're into Ruger SuperDuper Red-Blackhawks in .650 Nuclear Magnum which weigh more than a 1960 Dodge, then yeah...this is not the rack for you.(Yes, I know I have a 1911 problem. I'm seeking help.)

Sturdy
Fit my Glock 43's (howeverI did turn them upside down as the are almost too short to span the distance), Ruger Vaqueros (7 1/2 bbl), and various full size Glocks. I would suspect the unit would hold well over 15 pounds before the legs would spread. Considering most handguns don't have significant weight, this will easily hold their weight. The protective coating appears to be evenly applied and I'm not worried about the finish on my handguns. If there was a 2 handgun version it may be great in a center console.

Does the job, good buy!
Does the job & a good buy, but dimensions are advertised wrong for 8-gun rack. It's 18" wide, not 19" & will fit on a Liberty Safe Fatboy Jr safe as shown in my pic

Sturdy
Haven't tried standing on them, but they are sturdy built. Covering expected to withstand many years of use.Only minor; leg caps are not fixed with adhesive; but shouldn't become an issue. Purchased for optics mounted handguns.Recommended

4 legs....none of them parallel to one another.
Solid and heavy and can support 4 guns WITHOUT trigger locks. From a practical perspective it's useful for storing individual firearms without locks; but couple that limitation with the incredibly poor esthetics and unbalanced look of the four legs that all seem to point in different directions and this is not a winner. Storing these in a locked gun safe inside a locked room, so it's not quite the dealbreaker (which gives it one more star than I would otherwise have posted)...but I was originally considering purchasing more but definitely now will not.

Works good but may interfere with trigger locks
I leave trigger locks on my pistols, even in safe, and found it's very hard to get 4 pistols in this rack. Works great at range though for keeping pistols organized or to hold during cleaning.

A great quality gun rack.
Very sturdy and well made. As the order was fulfilled by amazon it was shipped in a box and arrived undamaged. It will hold large revolvers like it states but some large pistols such as the mk23 or USP are a very tight fit. All in all a good replacement for my old homemade gun rack.
