7artisans50mm F0.95 APS-C Manual Fixed Camera Lens for Fuji X-Mount Cameras

A Fantastic Value
I've been regularly using this lens for the better part of a month now, and I think it's great for what it is. Of course it's a little soft at f/0.95 (though it's perfectly adequate with a little post processing on your RAW file), and it's pretty difficult to manual focus at f/0.95, especially if your subject is moving, but what else would you expect? The light gathering can be an absolute lifesaver in high ISO situations to make your images and videos that much cleaner. If you stop this lens down a little bit, you get even better results. Even at f/1.4, there's a stark increase in contrast and sharpness, but once you get to f/4, the overall frame is downright sharp and pleasing. This lens has CHARACTER, and because of the results it produces and its tank-like build quality, it's a joy to use. The focus ring and clickless aperture are well dampened and feel great to turn. One thing to consider is that this lens is COMPLETELY manual, meaning your camera will not save any EXIF data so you won't know what aperture you shot your image at after the fact. If you can get past the few cons this lens has, I think you'll have a lot of fun using it, especially on an older digital camera body such as the Fujifilm X-Pro 1.Attached above are image examples; the first two demonstrate the difference between an image shot at f/0.95 vs f/1.4, and the third is a landscape shot to demonstrate the sharpness this piece of glass possess when stopped down a bit.
