These are definitely waterproof and moderately insulated. I wouldn't wear these in a very cold climate because they are better suited for warmer skiing. They are good quality and are a great price.

I got an Xl and they are, I should have gotten just large but they are warm! I got them for motorcycle riding and didn’t have any issues staying warm, maybe a bit too warm, but they work great

It was decently warm, fit a little loose. But within 15 minutes on the mountain I bent over and the crotch ripped. I wear a 28x28 jean and decided to size "up" to a medium to allow for layers. Despite being bigger than I thought I needed, it tore at the seams without hesitation
