Odyssey FRGSPIDDJRB DJ Package

This case is a perfect fit for my Pioneer DDJ-SB2. Other cases don’t have the controller centered, which drove me crazy that they aren’t symmetrical. The reason for this is because the headphone jack is located on the left side of the controller. Thankfully, the headphone jacks are not obstructed by the case’s rigid foam. (See photo). So you get the benefit of a symmetrical looking flight case without having to use right angle adapters on your headphones. The laptop tray glides smoothly, and gets tighter in the extended position. Doesn’t feel like it could ever accidentally extend too far and come off, especially once there’s weight on the rails. I also found that the cable holes on the laptop tray are the perfect size to hold my wireless microphone securely so it doesn’t roll off. When closed, the laptop tray has plenty of clearance over the cross fader and knobs. Another reviewer mentioned having an issue with it hitting, but this is physically impossible in the upright configuration. Maybe during transport if your case goes upside down. But that can be avoided by velcroing your controller in.Another feature I was looking for was the ability to stack the lid under the case to raise the work surface, as I am 6ft tall. The main section of the case has long rubber feet, so once you stack the lid underneath, the rubber feet drop into the lid at all the corners. So the case isn’t going to go sliding off without also lifting the entire thing up and out. When stacked, there is a bit of play before the case slides enough to hit the rubber feet and stop. But it is secure enough to do some hard mixing and not move at all. I’ve spun my turntables as hard and fast as humanly possible and the flight case didn’t shift on the lid. The only time I’d be slightly worried is if someone really bumped into it hard, because the lid doesn’t have rubber feet where it meets the table. It’s just the rounded chrome corners against the table, which by comparison, are more slippery. But again, once there’s weight on it, and on a table cloth, it’s not going ANYWHERE.I really wish I would’ve bought this case years earlier. It looks so professional, and will protect my controller better than the cardboard box it came with.

It’s a solid, somewhat heavy box with braces for a turntable mixer. Personally I like that there is some space under the mixer for all my cables and such.It looks good, and you can stack it on the lid if you like for a more comfortable workflow.

Love this case! No issues with fitment, came with 2 wedges to fit under the laptop shelf to prevent the controller from moving during transport and a rectangular block to fit on the lid to prevent the shelf itself from moving. If I had another SB3 I'd buy it again for sure. Case arrived on time. Zero issues!

So I bought this for my DDJ-SB3 and have used it a couple times. I pulled up to a gig yesterday and my Crossfader had broken off. I had placed the controller in so there’s no way it should’ve moved that much and I even stacked extra foam to keep it contained. I’m not sure if the top slide bumped it or not, but I do know that i don’t have a Crossfader anymore because of this case. Did it protect my controller? Yes. Was it worth losing my Crossfader? No.

It is durable and a good price too.

Perfect fit for my Pioneer DDJ-400. I was tired of carrying a soft case and a laptop stand and this case was compact enough to serve both purposes. Does not take much space and keeps my controller safe and dust free.

Brought this case to protect my DDJ-400 N... great buy. Worth the money.
