Arpeggio introduction
This was my arpeggio introduction. I had memorized the five minor scale shapes a few months before stumbling across Mimi Fox's Arpeggio study. It's light on explanation and I'm not very far into course but I believe in the end I will greatly improve my musicality and execution (guitar playin'). Thanks Mimi

Lick Addicts Need Not Apply. Jazz is NOT Rock&Roll.
Mimi gets to the core of what it takes to play Jazz on ANY instrument and lays it out for the advancing guitarist. The fingerboard knowledge required to outline harmony is the essential element in finding oneβs voice as a Jazz soloist. Scales have their place, but only in service to the harmony.I held back one (1) star because some basic elements of practical starter fingering or suggestions of fingering philosophy could have been addressed.

Essential jazz instructional book
This is another, what I could call, essential jazz instructional book. There are diagram boxes for absolutely loads of arpeggios and, if you learnt them all and their applications you would be doing very well in your playing. Mimi plays through some solos over familiar chord changes and then analyses her arpeggio choices, which is extremely useful. The tab is easy to read and this book is worth the money! The concepts provided could also be used to jazz up your rock playing.
