Classic Rock From a Great Era
Like the Rockets, 707 was band with Talent that got overlooked. I got the opportunity to work with them 4 or 5 times when I was on the road as Monitor & Lights guy for the group Falcon, and all were great people. The bass player at that time use to play with Angel, another great band from that time that did not get the recognition they deserved.Overall this collection is WELL worth the money, grab it NOW!

LA's Finest
My girl friends and I were very fortunate to meet Kevin and the guys in the very early stages. They played at the local LA clubs, Troubadour, Starwood, and many others in and around the LA area.Aside from our boyfriends being jealous we grabbed all our friends from work and would head out any night of the week that they played. This meant sometimes going to work on only 2 or 3 hours of sleep. But, if it was to see the guys we were there. We were totally in to having fun listening to the music. We met the guys the first night we went and saw them and became their main fan base. I took all the extra guitar picks that Kevin and Phil had and had them engraved with LA's Finest and the names of the all 4 guys, Kevin, Duke, Phil and Jim. We all wore our pick necklaces at all the show dates. The guys had necklaces as well. Most of the fans that came to the local clubs would ask and I would get them necklaces. So, any of you who still have your necklaces that is really something to say you were there at the very beginning.I have my signed autographed albums, and lots of fan photos. We had some very fun memories of our partying days and after shows ending up at Cantors for early breakfast with the guys. There were band alterations after their 1st album and by the 2nd album there were new faces, Tod Howarth joined the band and helped bridge the gap left by Duke. After the 2nd Album I was made the Fan Club President, and answered mail for the guys. When they were on tour with REO Speedwagon's Hi Infidelity Tour - there was a lot of incoming mail.I cherish the days and nights I spent with all the guys. It is a favorite and fun memory to know that 707 was definately LA's Finest....Love to All the 707 Fans - Marsha Henderson "Rock On"....

Duke McFadden: The writer of "I could be good for you"
I have know this band personally since before they became 707 and I will say with all my heart that Duke McFadden is the writer of 90% of the first Album, including "I could be good for You" which he wrote in the bathroom to have privacy! The drummer rearanged a couple of words (Mcclarty) Duke is the sole singer on the entire album except two songs. Save Me By Kevin Russell & and One Way Highway, "One way Highway" Phil Bryant sings. Duke wrote after the break up with his wife, way back in early 70's I was with him when he was writing it! I love the band always have they were all great friends until greed took over and Duke was let go. It is so sad the fame and money took over. All who were there and saw them, know what I'm talking about. 5 STARS for the first original 707 album. Great Album together guys!

Includes the AOR hit "I COULD BE GOOD FOR YOU"
FIRST TWO ALBUMS ON ONE CD.***The lead track, "I Could Be Good For You", seemed like a staple of AOR radio stations back in the early 80s - for some reason though, the cut didn't really make the jump to the classic rock format - and has become a little forgotten with time. "I Could Be Good For You" has kind of a Bad Company feel, with a little more polish. Honestly, I find the rest of the disc a little bland - but this one track is a killer, and worth the price of admission. 707 recorded another very memorable song, the title track from their third album Megaforce.FYI - AOR stands for Album Oriented Rock, a very successful FM radio format in the late 70s and early 80s. ...Post disco, but pre Madonna. Quite a lot of these stations evolved into Classic Rock stations as AOR died out in the late 80s and early 90s. 707 is one of the many bands that thrived in the AOR era, but were excluded from most classic rock programming.
