I purchased this product late in Dec. 2020. I initially had great difficulty getting the smart app to hook up to the camera. I spent hours booting, rebooting, deleting, and re-installing everything, from my modem to my router to my smartphone as well as the camera. I would carefully go thru the instructions. On my android phone, I could not get the app to change the default password as the app didn't format the screen correctly and this step needed to occur. I tried every setting that I thought could help. I noticed that the quick-step guide came with slightly different instructions for an iOS device and I even then tried to get the app to work on my iPad. I did get further along and was able to change the password as the instructions required, but the app on my iPad still advised that the camera was offline. By accident, however, I turned off the 5G side of the router, and low and behold, the IOS app worked and worked fine. Amazingly my android phone defaulted into working too, with no change of instruction on my part necessary.For two and a half months that the CasaCam worked, it worked fine. I was disappointed in the night light feature, and though the cam did display at night, the image was no better than most other baby camsAs luck would have it, a power blackout recently occurred in my community, and I have spent the better part of 4 hours trying to get either the IOS or Android app to work, even with the router 5G off, retracing the exact steps I used 2 and half months ago.But I've had no luck. Thankfully, the manufacturer sets the monitor that comes in the box to pair immediately.

Works great from the main monitor, but using remote view is a challenge since it requires a 2.4ghz connection. Would be nice if they made these 5G capable. Range is ok.

Amazing camera / monitor! We had to return the initial baby monitor we ordered because it had terrible quality. This camera is AWESOME. Clear night vision, bracket to easily instal and monitor is touchscreen. Added bonus is that you can also use this with the app and hook up to your phone so it’s WiFi compatible. I HIGHLY recommend.
