Esther Williams1950s One Piece Halter Swimsuit Size 6 White Black Polka Dot

I am a petite woman, 5'2" and about 115 lbs. I usually would wear an x-small or small. I ordered a 4 and it was waaaay too small. I will probably exchange for an 8 and try again.It is a nice quality material: thick and seems like it would hold up well. There are light cups in the bra part, but not much in the way of support. Although, it is tight so that may be enough. Bigger chested women may have a harder time. Overall, seems like a great suit if you can order up a few sizes.

I bought this in red/white polka dots 2 years ago and it has held up great! This is the most comfortable and flattering swim suit I've ever found. The extra material on the tummy are excellent at hiding belly fat and the suit is slimming through the hips, completely covering my bum. I have now bought a second one in the white and red cherry pattern. I was worried that the white might be see through on the bottom but was very pleased to find that this one was double lined throughout (including the bum). The red polka dot one from 2 years ago did not have double lining on the bum but I've had no problems with it being see-through. It definitely runs small, I am 5'7, long torso at 145 lbs and size 12 fit great.

This is actually the third swimsuit of this design that I have purchased. I love the way they fit, and I love the retro look! The only disappointment I had with this is that the back of the swimsuit isn't lined, so you can see through it a bit when it gets wet. Still, lovely suit! I tried a cheaper version of the style and it wasn't worth the shipping. This is the best swimsuit ever! The only one that actually makes me want to go to the beach!

Lets start by saying, I'm not a swimsuit person! I don't feel comfortable in them, I'm just shy of 6 ft, size 8 pants and a 36 DD. I either end up with something that looks like a moo-moo or something that makes me look like i'm ready for an adult film shoot... these Esther Williams swimsuits have totally changed my (life) summer outlook! I feel cute, comfortable and confident now when I'm out in the sun! I have 4 of them in various colors and the quality is wonderful, these are truly made to last!

I love this suit! Fits great and it's super flattering, which is NOT my typical swimsuit experience. I should point out that I ordered 5 suits at the same time to have options - a couple were just the wrong size but a couple fit fine but had uneven seams that made the neckline uneven too. But one out the five was perfect for me!

Beautiful swimsuit with some issues.First of all, sizing. I heard that Esther Williams ran small so I ordered according to the size chart as well as a size larger and a size smaller just in case. I ended up needing to size down 3 sizes from my size according to the size chart to get any kind of support.Second of all, the support issue. The swimsuit is beautifully made with a flattering design but with one fatal flaw: the fabric on the back is unlined. Which means that not only is every lump and bump visible, but the fabric stretches sheer. For the price, I would expect more.I haven’t given up completely on Esther Williams- I did try suits in other sizes with thicker material- but this beautiful peacock fabric was probably the worst for sheerness.

SO FLATTERING! I'm 4'10" and 150lbs with a 36DD bust, and have been struggling to find a suit I feel cute in. I had bought and returned several already this season, and ordered this one last minute before a trip. I was thrilled when I tried it on! The ruching and lines are SO complimentary and create a great silhouette. Halter top provided enough support to feel comfortable while swimming & snorkeling. I like this so much I have it in two colors!

I've only worn this 2 times so far, so i can't speak for the durability, but the fit is amazing. It sucks my belly in and covers my butt without giving wedgies. It covers the front very well too. I am about 5'2 160lbs and have been wearing a lot of frumpy bathing suits since having children bc I'm self conscious. This bathing suit makes me actually embrace my curves. It gives me confidence and if it seems to hold up well, I will definetly be ordering more.
