Here's what you should expect
This is a hard shirt to peg. When I first saw this, I thought of an old shirt from my college days in Vermont. I was looking for a "fat" corduroy fabric. The width of the "cords" on this shirt are not as fat as the photo makes them appear *but* they are wider than most other shirts called corduroy, so even though it wasn't what I imagined, it is still a "beefy" corduroy fabric. I'm okay with it. The fabric itself is 90% polyester, 8% nylon, 2% spandex. I would have liked 100% cotton, but it actually doesn't feel that bad and it appears to hold warmth like a corduroy shirt does. The cut of the bottom is a little odd: the side length is equal to the sleeves. In the front it slopes down a little bit but in the back it cuts straight across. It is not a shirt cut well for tucking in. In fact, other descriptions of this shirt call it a "jacket." Overall, it runs a little small. The sleeves are a bit shorter than what you normally find. The front buttons are unusual, as well. They are of a 2 piece construction. A base piece is attached to the shirt fabric then a floating top is the part you see when buttoned up. It freely moves and spins, and it also makes a slight clicking sound when you shake the shirt. Doesn't make noise when wearing it and buttoned, though. I suspect this button design takes pressure off the connection point with the fabric, which is good since you need a bit more effort to get the buttons through the thick fabric. The 2 front pockets have a hidden button enclosure. I think the design would look better if the buttons were exposed. The construction quality of the shirt is not superior. It's not sloppy, but stray, loose threads seem to be a standard feature. You can cut those off. To be fair, part of the problem may be because of the difficulty of working with this type of thick, non-flat fabric. I bought the khaki color and it is the dead-on, classic shade. This is not a dress shirt. This is more like a lumberjack shirt you'd wear relaxing around a fire. I only washed it once so far, but it is not super soft. It has some stiffness to it but it's not uncomfortable. I bought this for around $25 and I've seen the exact same shirt being sold on non-Amazon sites for $36. For the ($25) price, this is a good buy, especially because it is extremely hard to find corduroy with cords as wide as this material. It is unabashedly a Chinese made product, but it seems odd they could pull off what I consider a uniquely American design so well. I almost imagine there's a bunch of Chinese hipsters behind this product. I hope my description helps set your mind to what to expect. I am pretty happy with the product.

Nice and warm
The circumstances were a bit odd. I was visiting in another city and the apartment my family and I were staying in was chilly with no apparent way to warm it up a bit. After several days of being chilly I called on Amazon to come to the rescue with this shirt. It fit well. It has a square bottom so it was designed to be worn without being tucked into pants which was what I wanted. And it was just about the right warmth to take care of chilly. I will give it another try when past August to winter. But it worked nicely for the chilly apartment.

My son loves it!
My teenage son loves this jacket! It is summertime here in California, and he wears this jacket almost every day, in the air-conditioned house. It’s very lightweight but fashionable.

Be careful with sizing. On the small side
Welll made I usually wear a medium so that is what I ordered. This is the smallest medium I have ever bought.
