I was about to give the Wolfcraft tool a one star review from hell. It simply would not attach itself to the GU10 bulb despite repeated attempts. Zero suction no matter how hard I pressed it against the bulb. Then (after almost giving up) I decided to test whether the suction cup would work on another surface. Moistening the sucker I then tried it on the kitchen worktop - a smooth flat surface. And the sucker attached itself so well that I had difficulty separating the tool from the worktop. I repeated this successfully a couple of times before trying the tool again on the Gu10 bulb that needed replacing. This time it attached itself to the bulb no problem and I simply turned the tool to remove the recalcitrant GU10 bulb. Worked perfectly. So all you need to do is get the sucker to attach itself to a kitchen worktop or tile before you try it on a bulb straight out of the box.

Wenn man einmal herausgefunden hat, wie man das handhabt, dann funktioniert es erstaunlich gut (abgewinkelt aufsetzen und andrücken - und dann erst den Griff gerade aufstellen). Leider ist das nirgends beschreiben.

I don’t write reviews but wanted to for this product because it works well and is a shame that it gets bad reviews due to users not understanding/following instructions. •First, the bulb MUST be cool to the touch. Heat will damage the suction cup causing it not to work. Make sure lights are off! •Second, the pictogram instructions MUST be followed for the product to work: -Place suction cup on flat surface of bulb with handle parallel to floor; bulb must be cool, make sure lights are off! -Gently pull handle down so it’s perpendicular to floor; this creates suction -Turn handle in the desired direction to remove or install bulb -Gently pull handle up so it’s parallel to floor; this releases suction. If this step doesn’t release suction then gently pull on the tab of the suction cup to manually release suction. -Last, save the pictogram instructions with the product so you can refer to it the next time you use it! After cutting the zip tie to use the product, I used a twist tie to re-secure the product to the product’s paper label that has the pictogram instructions on it. It would be very helpful if the manufacturer would put a sticker with the pictogram instructions on the handle of the product, or drill a tiny hole in the handle and have a tag with the pictogram instructions hanging from the hole.
