Best damn toothbrush ever
Update to ReviewThis Sonicare toothbrush is excellent for cheaters. I cheat on my hygienist, and she doesn't suspect. For decades I dutifully flossed and brushed my teeth everyday, perhaps even twice a day. Then I didn't. I don't know what happened, but first went the daily showering. Seriously, Americans shower too much. And we have a drought. Then it was tooth brushing. I slacked. In desperation, I started flossing and Sonic brushing 4 days before seeing my hygienist. I didn't want to fall in her esteem. She always has complimented me for my excellent oral care. What would she think if I was just another bleeding gum? But this Sonicare toothbrush fixed me right up. I still got my free toothbrush and floss and no lecture, just compliments for me. This incentivized me so much that I immediately recovered and starting brushing twice a day again. Nah. Just kidding. But I do love the feeling of relief when I use my Sonicare and clear out a day or two of plaque. Now if there was something as useful for showering...Original ReviewApril 25, 2018This toothbrush is amazing. It is about 100 times more powerful than my 5 year old Sonicare toothbrush, although if you like mild, it was 3 intensity levels and level 1 is identical to my old Sonicare - I tested by pressing on my lip so I know scientifically. This also has 3 clean levels. Clean, massage and deep clean. Clean is about 30 seconds per quadrant and then it pulses to tell you to move on. Deep clean is a whopping 45 seconds per quadrant. Massage has a totally different feel and is supposed to be gentle on your gums so you can massage them. Don't massage your gums. Just floss and brush. The reason I bought this toothbrush was because it has a new feature I've never had before in that it alerts you if you press too hard. I have a bad habit of leaning into my brushing and that is terrible for gums. Now if I use too much pressure the brush makes a noticeable sound and feel. It is training me to do a good job using the correct amount of pressure and not be such a lead hand.I had lost interest in brushing. But now I'm actually eager to use my toothbrush to get that amazing sickly smooth feel on my teeth of extreme clean. It feels like the hygienist just polished them. You will have the best teeth with this brush and super healthy gums which is more important apparently.I'm thinking about carrying it with me and just brushing my teeth quickly ever hour or two. That seems odd but it feels so good having totally smooth teeth.I did a test of brushing without flossing and you still need to floss but it got rid of more yucky between teeth stuff than any other toothbrush has ever done. You kind of have to get this toothbrush. I may buy them for my entire extended family. Especially if it goes on a Lightening Deal again which was the secondary reason I got this new toothbrush.Don't cheat yourself. You deserve a new toothbrush. And they actually have improved hugely on the old ones.I gotta go check the prices and order some more. I don't think it's good for children. There is probably a child's version for kids. And puppies are not going to like the sound or feel. But that gives me an idea, maybe I'll use my old Sonicare on the puppies to prevent plaque buildup.

Love Philips and love this toothbrush but it’s not consistent
Love Philips and love this toothbrush but it doesn’t work consistently. When the full program doesn’t work, i have to press the start button again to go through the whole cleaning program. When it works, it works great. Maybe this glitch is why Philips stopped making this model. All in all, i have worked around the problem and i deal with the glitch because when it works, it works great.

great toothbrush
This does a great job cleaning my teeth, is easy to use, and looks nice. I switched from a competing brand. It took me about a week to be able to assess how well I like it in comparison because I was so used to the old one. But I do like this better. The vibration seems to be better for cleaning, and the shape of the head seems to be better for cleaning. It is a bit expensive maybe, but it is a good electric toothbrush

“Sound” investment
High initial investment, and replacement heads can be expensive. With that aside, this brush has my teeth the cleanest they have ever been. Honestly, within the first two weeks I noticed whiter teeth and stains disappearing. The first time I used it I was hooked. It is important to follow manufacturers directions and not brush like you are used to as with a conventional tooth brush. The pressure sensor works well and I recommend using the start up setting if you are not used to electric tooth brushes. Basically start at the lowest setting and work your way up until you are comfortable. As powerful as this brush is it has not damaged any of my dental work. My teeth and gums feel and look great. Simple to use, batter life is only okay. I charge once every week or so. I like the deep clean setting on the number two power setting. I haven’t used the whitening setting yet. I am happy with “clean” and “deep clean”. Great purchase, have been using regularly for several months and don’t think I’ll ever go back to conventional tooth brushes. I would err on the side of caution and invest in a reputable brand like Phillips and not a discounted off brand with a name like Happy Smile or something. This has been with the money, haha, I do indeed have a “happy smile”

Great toothbrush for a deep clean
I bought this toothbrush with the tragic loss of my old sonicare when I left it in Memphis. I used a manual toothbrush for a week and I just cannot stop using sonicare. I knew I was wasn't getting my toothbrush back and it's still in Memphis somewhere, so I decided to order this toothbrush. I noticed the deep clean mode and that is ultimately what helped me make the decision. I have now used it several times and at night especially, I notice a difference even from my old sonicare. This was an upgrade. I went to floss after brushing like I always do and hardly any particles. The toothbrush takes care of a lot for you and is quite powerful. I love the feeling afterward and I love having a sonicare back after my tragic loss. Highly recommend, especially if you are fond of a deeper clean and powerful toothbrush. One thing I can knock it for is it does seem to have a shorter battery life than my old one. I guess that deep clean comes at some sort of price.

It's early but so far so good....
I bought my first Sonicare HX9110/02 in 2014. Last month I joked that it was still going after all these years, it heard me, and decided to die. I ordered a HX9690/05 ExpertClean 7500 and hated it. It felt cheap. The pressure sensor triggered at the slightest touch. The vibrations just felt weak. It went back. So I tried to order my original model and it was sold out and this came up as the upgraded model. It's great. It has the power of the old one. It doesn't annoy me with the pressure thing. The new style of brush head is awesome. Will it last? I dunno. I did make sure to register it with Phillips online and my warranty is now 30 months. If it dies I hope they'll honor the warranty with a replacement. My only concern is it took a full 24 hours to hit max charge out of the box. That seems excessive and I hope it's not indicative of future battery problems.
