Lowrance Hook Reveal 9 Fish Finder 9 Inch Screen with Transducer and C-MAP Preloaded Map Options

For a budget depth finder with side imaging. This is an excellent unit.Very easy to use and set up. The image is very clear once you set it to a higher frequency.I purchased the TS unit and have had no issues so far. If you want Wi-Fi or an easy connection with a second unit for the front of your boat, You will need to purchase a higher-end depth/ fish finder.If you are looking for a rear depth finder. This one works great.The only thing I'm not a fan of is that the transponder is almost 11" long. It sticks way off the back of the boat. But hasn't been an issue so far.

Product description a hook reveal fish finder. Invoice reads hook reveal 5 inch fish finder. Bought a navionic chart SD card and does not work. In actuality this is a hook reveal X fish finder which is totally different. Lowrance told me I I was out out of luck. Will never buy a Lowrance fish finder again.

I purchased the hook 9 i the winter from amazon after waiting years to afford it.I have finally found time to install the unit on my boat. 25 foot boat that took about 4 hours to install.i go out on the water and turn unit on , and go to install the c maps card it came with and it does not fit. the card DOES NOT FIT. wrong card. so i start to use the self mapping that the hook 9 has and within a half hour the unit stops recording and says that the memory space is maxed out. The option for self mapping and recording is the only reason i bought hook 9. I just don't understand how a map card can have so many canadian and us lakes on it but the hook nine cant even store a half mile of a lake on it.

I recently purchased a hook reveal 9 and some additional Lowrance products to replace my outdated Lowrance X87. I have not had the opportunity to use the unit yet but had some questions so I called the Lowrance USA customer service phone number. I ended up taking with someone in the Philippines who was hard to understand and was obviously looking at a computer for an answer. I asked to speak with a supervisor and after waiting 5 minutes another person ( not in the USA ) came on who did the exact same thing as the other person. It’s sad that I can’t get support for a product I purchased in the USA from someone in the USA who I can understand who is knowledgeable on the product and not cookie cutter answers off of a computer.Hopefully I don’t have any problems once I use the unit if I do I’ll send it back and go back to my old unit.At this point I’d rate the unit a 5 but the support a 1.
