Daesan Straw Boater Hat 1920s Skimmer Hats Sailor Roaring 20's Costume

It should be said that these hats are not true skimmers as worn 1900-1930. Those hats had a much shorter 3" crown and were very stiff, made from a much finer gauge straw that was bleached to a lighter, almost white, color and lacquered to keep their shape. These hats, made of coarse straw are floppy and cannot pass for a skimmer even at a considerable distance. If you need a period correct skimmers, these are not for you, even though they are quite inexpensive. If you're re-shooting "Witness" then they're OK.

Too small for one-size-fits-all. But also it’s too round. This would be for a 7 1/4 or smaller hat size. It looked almost identical to an existing one that I had that is a much better larger size with an elastic band so it will fit snugly on somebody with a smaller head. See my photos. It looks like Amazon sells something similar to the larger size that I already have for about $40.If your head happens to be a 7 1/4 orsmaller and a little on the rounder side this would probably be perfect for you but not if you’re using as costuming to be available for anybody else With a larger head.

Very high quality 1920 Boater Hat. I wore this to a 1920's party and everyone was commented how much they liked it. Lots of people wanted to try it on. I wore this hat with a white collared shirt, dark navy button-down vest (and gold pocket chain), khaki pants, and brown shoes. I liked it so much that I can see myself wearing this as a general everyday hat. I highly recommend this hat.

This is a very lightweight, comfortable hat! There is a drawstring on the inside to adjust fit!! Highly recommend!!
