Genuine Dell 305w Power Supply PSU for Optiplex 980 Model Numbers: F305P-00 L305P-00 H305P-02 Compatible Part Numbers: K346R K345R M117R

I'm sure this power supply will work for some people, but it would not work for the computer I needed it for. Be VERY careful when purchasing power supplies. Although this and many others state that it is compatible with a variety of models of power supplies, they might not be. I was looking for a H305P-02 compatible power supply. This one lists it among others. However, it is not compatible. The main power plug that plugs onto the motherboard (largest black one in the photo) is a small connector. The H305P-02 has a larger white connector. They are not interchangeable. I did not open the sealed bag when I received my unit and was able to get a refund from the seller.

I'm sure its a fine supply.. But not what pictured in the Amazon description.Instead of a universal supply with adaptors for SATA and small motherboard connector.It comes only with small motherboard connector and sata only.My PC has an original Dell L305P-00 P/N M8805 that has large ATX motherboard connector, older style 4 pin HD connectors etc.. Seller needs to at least update their pictures to reflect what they are shipping.

This item has been installed for two months and working as expected. I tried to other brands that were misrepresented. the form factors were incorrect good value for the money

This unit probably would have been perfect to use would it have had the motherboard connector I needed. Too bad it wound up being a waste of money.

This fixed a Dell Optiplex 980 that wouldn't boot. I was very happy to find this part.

I needed this fast to repair a work computer and it arrived on time and was new as expected.

We understand that this is a used item - but the unit I received was downright damaged....see attached pics
