Ordered this product as I already had a few Xmas projectors and use a very high-end projector as our home theater centerpiece, so I have a lot of past experience with these items. At first I set it up in our bedroom and the entire ceiling transformed into calming blue waves of light. Very cool effect, but I quickly realized that we had black-out curtains for a reason; we didn't want any light. I ended up moving the projector to my office. Now instead of my co-workers seeing a bland white closet door in the background, they are entertained by some dazzling lights instead. An easy way to spruce up my background. Also worked well in our blacked-out basement. The remote has more functions than I'll ever need, but enables you to set the length of time, the colors, the effects, speed, etc. For what it is, it does the job well.

Pretty amazing for what it is! Don't know how long the acrylic lens will hold up outside, but for this price the effect is amazing. From about 20 feet I can fully illuminate the side of my shop which is 30 x 42 with 20' eaves! And it's plenty bright, not washed out. No, you won't see it until it gets dark, but that's the case with just about any projector at any price unless you're using a Carbon Arc lamp for the light source. :-)The only thing I don't understand are the "modes" on the remote. Doesn't matter since the other features are what I need, but a description of the remote functions would have been nice. Nice that it's radio remote and not IR remote so you don't need to be pointing toward the device for it to function.

This is fun as long as it's not overused. I purchased this to keep in the living room as it covers a larger space. My son, who is on the spectrum, loves this! He WILL sit for at least an hour with this on. Super useful and lets me get things done. My daughter, not on the spectrum also loves this. If you are using this for sensory purposes, I would recommend not overusing it, if used daily use it for shorter periods, the kids will get bored of it as there's only so much it can do lol.

If you need an effects light for anything short-term this light is amazing! But if you looking for professional lighting or plan to use this often/long-term plan for it to fail. I bought two of them and loved them so much I bought two more the next week, and then two more a few weeks after that. Then the motor burned out one of them after having it for less than a month (but being used regularly); I figured these are relatively inexpensive effects lights (compared to professional lighting) and having one out of six break was an acceptable loss, but then another one died. I bought another one to replace the new dead one. Now a third one has died on me. These lights are awesome, but apparently cannot stand up to regular use. I bought nine of them over less than two months and three of them died (so far) within a month of regular use.

This light is way cooler than I anticipated for the price. Bought for my grandson for Christmas for his sea themed bedroom. I want one, actually I want a few! We have a massive living, dining kitchen area so I decided to put it to the test. I plugged this light in the center or the room and it was still crisp, bright and beautiful 20' up. Hubby and I stared at it like we were in a planetarium. Very happy with my purchase!
