The Remote Is Too Big and Complicated
The product works just fine; it dims the lights as is should. The packaging is luxurious, with a flocked inner package and a nifty magnetic closure. Sadly, the instructions were written a comically tiny font that literally required me to use my phone to magnify the text! Glad I read them, because upon seeing the itty bitty letters I decided to proceed without reading them-learned the hard way you have to pair the remote with the dimmer unit.Speaking of the remote, it's literally the size of a bar of soap. It has three different ways to change the brightness, which is just silly. I have installed units like this before that had an appropriately small remote with three buttons: power, dimmer, and brighter. This one has the circular wheel, which really just changes the brightness based on where you first touch it. Sure, you can slide your finger around, but one of the pairs of buttons is more precise and just as easy. I bought two of these; thinking about returning the other and searching for something less over-engineered.**UPDATE** I've since discovered I could pair a single remote with two receivers. This is very cool! My kitchen has LED strip lighting in the toe kicks of two separate cabinet runs, and I am able to control both sets of lights with just one remote. I'm still disappointed with the size and shape of the remote itself. It's big, and the back and sides are rounded. This means you can't really set it on any surface with confidence. Still, pretty tickled with this latest discovery.

Good functionality but poor quality components
After just one month of use I had to purchase a replacement as one of the transistor controlling the output became passing leaving one of the output permanently on with all the risks of shorts and fire that go with it. When it was working it was pretty good.

Easy to install and use
So this is basically a voltage regulator that lets you vary your output-voltage from about 11.4 to 12.1 volts. I had a small mishap in that I wired my lights incorrectly because I didn’t notice that there are 3 negative screws to the one positive screw... I incorrectly thought they were matching -/+ pairs. Also, when I first connected it, the output was set to the lowest setting, so without a volt-meter it looked like the dimmer wasn’t working. Once I put batteries in the remote and turned up the voltage, everything worked as it should. In the 12-volt setup that I have, the remote allows me to vary the voltage up or down pretty smoothly, but the buttons on the remote also have (10%) discrete steps that vary from about 0.10 to 0.20 volts as they go down. I feel like there are a lot of applications for this dimmer, but if using it for LEDs I think your results will really depend on the quality of your power supply and LEDs.

Works Geat.....but
The dimmer is well packaged, appears to be well made and works flawlessly with the remote control. I use it to control LED high capacity tape lighting above and below our kitchen cabinets. I placed it above one of the cabinets, and was very easy to install. It works very well throughout the brightness range, much better than cheaper dimmers that I have used. But.....with the brightness set at any level other than full dim or full bright, there is a high frequency sound emitted from the power supply on top of the cabinet that is easily heard in the rest of the kitchen. This did not happen when I used the cheaper dimmer. At full bright or full dim it is quiet. It is loudest at mid-level. There should not be a compatibility issue between this dimmer and the power supply, so not sure why this is happening.
