Right on spot. Didn’t expect such a bulk amount

had a bad case of termites in a shed. Spread around per instructions. Made repairs to the shed several months later. No activity. Easy to use, did the job. not sure how long it actually took to eliminate the colony, but am using it as a protection now.

Good product and it does work . I just used as preventive measure.

After receiving BioAdvanced Termite Killer I began to do some research on the active ingredient which is 0.05% BETA-CYFLUTHRIN GRANULAR INSECTICIDE. Documents say "this product will kill workers and winged reproductive forms of termites that enter into the treated areas. Use of this type of product to kill termites should not be considered a substitute for soil treatment of subterranean termites done by a professional pest control operator." The application for treating termites is 1/3 to 1/2 cup per 45 to 50 ft (2 to 3 ft band) (2 to 3 lbs per 1000 sq ft). Thats a lot of product for a short term 30-90 day protection. I think this product is very effective as a foundation barrier for spider, roaches, ants etc. but it's misleading to believe this product will provide adequate termite protection for your home. It might be a plus but should not be sold and marketed as termite killer, that is something most homeowners should leave to the professionals. We have found there are other general insect killing products which are safer and cheaper because they have a longer benefit and eliminate similar insects for a fraction of the cost. So if you are purchasing this to eliminate other insects, and the termite benefit is a plus, you are paying a lot for that piece of mindset. This 9 lbs container was not easy to administer over a hedge, it's heavy! The spout looks like a great design but it is easy to accidentally pour more than you need, but mostly its hard to shake out enough! The brown granular's are small and blend easily into existing mulch. The price for this 9 lb jug is high and I do not think I will purchase again. I am not sold on the termite protection and there are professional termite products that are more effective and last an extended period of time. They might come with a higher cost but they usually offer a guarantee, and termite damage can be expensive to repair. It's misleading to think termite protection is a do it yourself application and for that reason I gave it 3 stars.

I used it together with Spectracide termite stakes to monitor the termite activity in the ground. I think this makes more sense than tenting the house because it would kill only the termites that were in the house but not in the ground and termites would come back again once the fumigation chemicals were gone. My experience is termite stakes bait the termites and they carry the poison back to their colonies and all would be killed. On top of that the granules spreaded around the house would help kill the termites that could be left behind by the stakes.
