This looks like a nice cookbook but unfortunately there are no photosI usually do not buy any cookbooks w out photosIf you’re like me n like having photos although the recipes sound good I can’t really recommend it cuz there r no photos

The book shows various ways to use puff pastry and I have tried one so far that got good reviews from guests. I am anxious to try many others. The recipes seem easy to prepare, yet interesting and not ordinary. I am using the Trader Joe's Puff Pastry, which I would recommend..

Very good book but there are no pictures of. The finished work!

One look at the cover ... and you just know that you have something wonderful in store for you!!! And once you turn the page ... the perfection of puff pastry awaits you!!! But not just the perfection ... the simplicty ... because these recipes call for 'frozen' puff pastry ... it doesn't get much better!!! Between the appetizers, entrees and sweets ... I feel like I've died and gone to puff pastry heaven!!!

I can't speak to how the recipes in this book are since they are not readable on the Kindle. The font is very odd and has spaces in it so the letters are incomplete even when the font size in increased. But the big problem is that the font size can't be increased for the ingredient list. You can increase the font size for the instruction part of the recipe but the ingredient list stays at about a 6 point font and can't be increased. So between the odd "holey" font that can be increased but is still hard to read and the ingredient list which can't be increased at all, this book is not usable by anyone with less than 20/20 vision. Also there is an index but it isn't linked and isn't readable. All in all a very poor job of migrating this to the Kindle.

This book is one of my all time favorites

The recipes sound good in this book, but since there are no photos with any of the recipes in this book, it's a lot harder to tell if particular recipes would be something I might want to make. No photos might be okay for drop cookie or cake recipes, or quick breads. But for something like puff pastry desserts and appetizers, it's really nice to be able to see what the food is supposed to look like. Many of us need the visual to help us know what to do, and to envision the finished product. I doubt I will make very many of the recipes in this cookbook, just because there aren't photos. It's the photos that motivate many of us cooks to want to make something.

I bought the book as a gift for a friend and was disappointed that it is a paperback.
