Good thickness but add a non-slip pad
Really like this pad but you will need a non-slip pad underneath it. This pad was slippery until I did. The 3/8" thickness is perfect, not too thin. I did have to cut it back by a few inches on the long end though as it came in a bit too long. Happy with the purchase.

Rubberless Rug Pads
It is very hard to find rug pads that do not have a rubber backing. These are perfect! Plus, they are made in the USA! FABULOUS!

Area rug padding is definable worth the extra cost
I have never used a pad under an area rug before. I can tell you from now on, I will never NOT use one. What a difference in feel and when vacuuming! I am anticipating this will also extend the life of my rug. It looks thicker and more expensive, too.
