The case is good. It's a hard shell case that is built reasonably well. It was a good price, delivered promply, fits the recorder well, has enough room for USB cable inside case, and was priced reasonably. If you take care of this case (don't pull on the zipper hard, put heavy things on it, or leave it out in the weather), it should last quite a while, I think. I definitely would recommend this case to Tascam DP05 owners. It's a nice solid little case that should protect your recorder.

Item was as described. The case does fit the 05X perfectly, and seems thick enough that if dropped most likely would not result in damage to the case or the contents. It seems to be a well constructed case that does the job well. The case is black, and is exactly as I ordered it.

I have used the hard case for my Tascam DR-05 recorder for a few months now. Overall, the case is very sturdy and has protects the contents very well -- and I have not been gentle with it. The zippers continue to work well. I would give 5 stars except the interior mesh pocket does not suit my needs. It will accept and secure a small cable or ear buds just fine, but since it is an open pocket (no flap or snap to close the top) it will not secure something small, like the spare SD card I carry. The card easily slides out of the pocket and flops around loose inside the case. Then when the case is opened to access the recorder, the card falls out, making it easy to loose. Apart from that drawback, it's a good case for your DR-05. You'll just have to come up with another way to carry your spare SD card.

For my tascam recorder. Fits perfectly, recorder is very protected inside. I had purchased two. For both of tascams. Black an silver. They fit in my camera bag also. To do my evps. An they do catch evps tascam recorders. Very nicelyLove them

My Tascam fits perfectly in the case and the case is sturdy and well made.

This case is excellent protection for my DR-05X. It has a pocket for odds & ends (like small headphones for monitoring your sound) and it's flexible enough that you can fit a soft windscreen in it and it'll still close.
