Not sure how this can fit the horizontal bar of the Ruixin Pro RX008 sharpener. I have tried two and neither one has worked. The rod will not go thru the opening period! It's a good idea as the plastic one is a joke it will wear out pretty quickly so hence this upgrade but it's useless if it won't allow the rod to go thru the opening.

The ball is much smaller than the original which limits the angles possible. Not particularly well made in comparison to the original. Only redeeming feature is the wing nut is easier to loosen and tighten than the one that came with the sharpener. Not worth $10.

I was pretty happy about this product when I saw it. Unfortunately, it doesn't work on a 10" knife, which almost every kitchen has. If they had used a bigger ball, like the original, it would work. The original can be made to work just as well by removing some of the mating surfaces of the ball mount.Issue I didn't like the minute I unpacked was the poor finishing work they did on this. Serious casting flash needs to be removed.

It must have been made for a different model as it will not even try to fit on the rod at all. This must be a recent change seeing that the older reviews say how well it works. Hopefully, with enough negative reviews, they'll revisit their engineering and quality control.
