GoProHERO Session Waterproof Digital Action Camera

Amazing little camera that’s super easy to use. Recommended for anyone getting into GoPro’s or as a second camera. I use it primarily for motorcycling and will be trying it on the ski hill come winter.

Very happy with this purchase. I bought 6 of them for a wedding party and they were perfect. I already had a GoPro hero 5 but was so surprised that these worked just as well and for a fraction of the cost. They are actual Gopro’s which I was really skeptical about when ordering but pleasantly surprised when I opened the packing.

It seems out of stock at the moment and is being gouged by 3rd party sellers. If amazon gets these back in stock, I expect to get another. After using this, it seems like the newer Gopro Hero 5 session would be overkill.I have been using this as a bodycam during photoshoots at political protests, which can get quite dangerous.The gopro hero session can record continuously for about 4 to 5 hours at 1080p60.The video quality is astonishingly good.The mp4 file format is good as well, since quick edit tools are readily available. Making quick clips for twitter upload is super easy from the .mp4 file format. For example, try the open source, OpenShot Video editor for making quick clips and adding watermarks (use the title feature), easily.I was able to buy an mount/attachment kit separately for about $14.00, which included a mount that enabled me to wrap a velcro strap around the left shoulder strap of my backpack, so that the gopro hero session sits are shoulder height at my left shoulder.Helmet mounts from 3rd parties are available for about $20.00, in addition to a helmet with an attachment for those mounts. The gopro iPhone app seems a must for checking on/off status if the hero session is mounted on a helmet where the status light cannot be easily checked.Initial setup with the gopro iPhone app was difficult. However, once it was configured, it works pretty well. It is hard to image checking configuration without the iPhone app. The WiFi between the iPhone app and the gopro camera works without an external server, which means it can be used in the field, even when a separate internet connection is not available. Expect to need a usb power bank unit for the iPhone for all day connection between the gopro and the gopro iPhone app.criticisms:The gopro hero session should be able to switch from super wide view to regular view at 1080p60, but it cannot (does not). The gopro hero session only supports ultra-wide angle at 1080p60. There isn't any reasonable technological basis for this feature limitation. At ultra-wide angle view, distortion (called barrel distortion) is readily apparent at the edges of the frame.The gopro website is horrific. The people who run gopro don't seem to understand that they have already sold you their product when you get into what are supposed to be their website's support pages. All the content on the gopro website support pages acts like they are still trying to sell you their product. Their ceaseless marketing hype tone is very annoying. The gopro youtube videos are just as bad, if not worse. The gopro website pages don't actually provide much usable support information. Thankfully, via google searches, there are plenty of other websites and youtube videos that explain how to use their product.

Si eres amante de las camaras gopro y quieres tener mas, esta esta ideal ya que es lo mismo. Solo que el empaque es diferente. Excelente camara para el deporte.

Compramos la cámara ya que iríamos de vacaciones a la playa y a realizar tirolesa en X-PLORE. La usamos todos los días, la sumergí en agua de mar y siempre funcionó muy bien. Los videos y las fotos salen bastante bien, le dimos uso de turistas y funcionó a la perfección. Se debe descargar un aplicación al celular si quieres ver al momento que es lo que estas enfocando, también funciona sin la aplicación, por ejemplo al mar no metimos el celular y tomamos foto y video sin problema,la probamos antes en tierra para saber como colocar la cámara y que enfocara lo que queríamos, fuera de eso no hubo problema. Las imagenes y video se deben descargar a la PC, la batería dura conforme al uso que le des, si es video dura menos a que si tomas fotos. Puedes alternar videos cortos y fotos, con puro video talvez durará medio dia la batería.
