Q: Do you get 500 eye pieces or 100? The description says 500, but the listing says 100 pieces. Which also makes me question if the backing pieces count.

These threaded eye kits include 100 eyes of 6mm, 50 eyes of 8mm, 50 eyes of 10mm, 50 eyes of 12mm and 250 back washers, totally 500 pieces. So that means 250 eyes of different sizes and 250 backs which equals 500 pieces total.

Q: How do you distinguish backs for 6mm 8mm 10mm?

There’s not a straightforward answer. I believe there is one size that is the biggest so I assume that one is for the biggest sized eye. The other sizes I just use them for all the other safety eyes because they aren’t too different in size. It is hard to tell. Sometimes you try to fit it in and it’s loose or not and I just go off that.

Q: The eyes are very easy to figure out the size, but how can I match the back piece to the right eye? There are no labels to indicate sizes.

Unfortunately it is trial and error sometimes. Most of the small back pieces fit all the different size eyes except for the largest ones which requires the bigger back pieces. I usually place the eye on my project and start with the smallest back piece and work up until I find the right one. It would be great if the company would bag the matching back piece to the eye but then sadly, they'd probably double the price. I hope this helps
