This smaller than we expected but much better quality than we expected. We were going to use it outside but after it came it was too nice to leave outside. Nick put it in his bathroom as a night light. He likes it because it looks out of the master bathroom into his bedroom and watches after him all the time. Check out the pictures to see the size in the windowsill and how bright the light is.

I bought this little guy and placed it in a sunny location to charge battery as instruction indicated, I could never get it to come on. So I sent it back, got a refund and reordered it thinking it was just a defective one. The next one arrived and it was broken in two pieces so I sent it back as well but I did try to charge it first to see if it had the same problem as the first. I could only get it to flicker when the switch was moved to the one position. It seems that they both had a faulty switch. They are extremely cute but I could not get either one to come on.

I got him and one other to surprise her. After her negative reaction, I realized my mistake that I only got two and $28 isn't much $ for 27-years.I still have time until our anniversary so I am looking to get 10 more different solar Gnomes and that should spike her tone up! :-)!This little guy lights up good. ON/OFF switch not great but better than my other one. Has fairly good staying power/light and the price is nice too. Keep in mind he's a little guy. About the size of a 16-ounce can of beer. Wipe off the solar panels and turn gnome around to get direct sunlight when charging.

the detail and coloring is all quite lovely. my mother-in-law is going to adore this addition to her garden!most important: these have REPLACEABLE BATTERY! in contrast to other more expensive ones we bought, which are sealed so you can't even change the battery! :( and on top of that, those other expensive ones apparently contain only a tiny Ni-Cd 1.2V 80mAh "button" cell!!! :( :( :(we'll see how well it holds up over time (I think she loves it so much she's keeping it inside so no one would steal it from her garden! lol)

his crystal is clear when not lit. The picture doesn't due him justice. I love light up gnomes, and have a bunch all over my lawn but I have him close to my door so I can see him because he's my favorite. The coloring and his face expression are the best.

Cute, but needs battery replacement. Nice looking, good detail, glow is great when operating, however, needs a better battery. Worked a few times for a few hours with direct hot light during the day - shined well at night for a short while.Calculate in the cost of a battery when buying this.

Received this item ...box was mangled and ripped ... styrofoam was broken inside as if someone opened this previously and retuned it. Took item out of styrofoam and found hot glue strings across the gnome. The crystal ball looks as though it was glued back on. I’ve kept it because I am just not in the mood to go through the trouble to return it. Do not buy from here. Total junk

This Gnome is pretty darn cute, Its a perfect size for a large pot or even for your fairy garden. It is not a normal sized garden gnome. There is on and off switch. I couldn't figure it out at first as to why it wasn't lighting up. Pretty bright for such a little guy.

Not bright enough to light a path but the globe glows enough to uplight the planter beside him. Suitable for a fairy garden, which is where he'll live as soon as it's set up. His solar panel is in his back - right now he's on the deck so he's facing south, but I'll have to position him sideways so he catches some sun once he's moved to the fairy garden.

.....switch for light was defective.😐 It is still a nicely made gnome but won't be lighting up as expected. Got a discount for this issue so will be keeping anyways. Exactly as pictured otherwise.
