This is the only eye drop that hasn't eventually bothered my eyes. No matter how good a new drop feels when I first start using it, eventually my eyes become irritated and inflamed by that product. GenTeal Tears is the only eye drop/gel that hasn't turned on me. I have a tube in every room, in every purse and pocket. The one thing I have to keep in mind though, is that I can't read or drive for 5 minutes or so after I put them in; it's a gel and it affects the clarity of my vision until it thins.

I have kerataconus and chronic dry eye. This brand of eye drops are the only ones that don't irritate my skin around the eye.And the gel version really lubricates and lasts without feeling greasy like the ointment types out there. I use it day & night and find I don't need apply nearly as much as the liquid type. And any blurred version that first occurs quickly goes away, unlike the ointment type that can last a good half hour. The gel melts quickly and lubricates very well.

I suffer from recurrent corneal erosion, which is incredibly painful and debilitating. I started using the eye gel when I went to bed and whenever I get up during the night and it's kept the condition at bay so far. Great product, even if painfully expensive!
