not so good
I had hoped the Stunick would help me slow my dog from charging and barking the front door when the bell rings. Sadly, it has no effect whatever....like it was not even there. The device is well made and easy to use with a bright light on it. Changing or installing the battery is very simple and quick. If only it worked or helped at all. I have a golden doodle, so maybe it is better on other breeds.

Jury is out
I'm not sure this is working. I can hear something. But honestly, I'm not sure the dogs do. I'm a homecare nurse and I need the dogs to be quiet when I'm visit. I can't tell if it's working or not. Did the dog quit barking because I was pushing the button or because they tired of barking? It's not instaneous.

Holy cow, it works!
This gadget is so worth the money. I love dogs, but my neighbor's dogs yap at their own fleas. If they're left outside they bark nonstop. We have a privacy fence but I use the knot holes in the wood to aim it. Their dogs will either stop barking altogether, or they go to the far side of the yard. They can escape the range of 20 feet by doing so but the distance makes the noise much less noticable. It's harmless and quick, and it doesn't bother our dog. I have only one complaint and that is this light that flashes whenever you push the button. That will drain the battery and I see no need for it. I'm telling our other neighbors about it.

Confusing to dogs sometimes
This barely works. At worst they just bark over whatever sound its making and at best it confuses them for a few seconds but then they go barking again. Would not recommend or purchase again unless I needed another bad flash light in the house for emergencies.

Worked great for a few times
This worked great on our Golden Retriever when we first started using it; however, even though we rarely used it, he quickly got used to the tone so it didn't bother him at all and he ignored it.

Works for us
One of my dogs is a border collie mix who enjoys refusing to come inside after making me open the door, and barking for no reason. I got this to help with the latter. We recently got a puppy and the bad habits were rubbing off. Since I want them to bark sometimes, I decided that I only wanted them to be quiet when I instructed. The first time I said “quiet“ and they did not comply, I pressed the button and they looked around like ‘wtf’ but not in pain or stressed in any way. They got the hang of it pretty quickly but once in a while I still use it and, when I do, they not only get quiet but they come to me. I would suggest using it sparingly because I do have a friend who tried another similar item and she said it worked at first but then her dog ignored it after a couple of days. Overall, a good, non-invasive teaching tool. Not good in a high-traffic or noisy area (Did not work for us on the beach)

Works for a while.
The item worked good at first. But our dog is a corgi and he is very smart. After a little while the dog knew the device was not going to hurt him and he now ignores it.

For my cat
Worked great deterring my cat from misbehaviors….for awhile. Seems she grew accustomed to the ultrasound sound and it became ineffective after a couple of weeks
