In 1949, Mr. Kihachiro Onitsuka began his athletic footwear company (Onitsuka Co., Ltd.) by manufacturing basketball shoes out of his living room in Kobe, Japan. He chose the name ASICS for his company in 1977, based on a famous Latin phrase "Anima Sana In Corpore Sano," which, when translated, expresses the ancient ideal of "A Sound Mind in a Sound Body." Taking the acronym of this phrase, ASICS was founded on the belief that the best way to create a healthy and happy lifestyle is to promote total health and fitness. Today, ASICS offers a full line of performance-driven athletic shoes and technical active sports apparel and accessories dedicated to bringing harmony to the body and soul.

Missing parts
Bought these for my son, because his last pair are too big. These fit as expected, but did not come with complete set of spikes. There were only 2 spikes. I did note that some reviews indicated that they didnt receive spikes with theirs, but there were more saying they were satisfied. In the question answer there were a few replies saying that there were spikes. Technically I received spikes but not enough to plug in to both shoes. I used spikes from his pair that was too big to make sure he could race in state competition the following day after we received these. Those spikes however were not long/dig deep enough. All of that to say a full set of spikes should be provided of the appropriate length for optimal performance. For the price I believe we are owed that.

Order a size up
Probably a moot point since these are almost out of stock, but this is my second pair. The first was a half-size bigger than I usually get. The most recent pair was a full size bigger. I set a huge PR on a snow-covered and icy Front Range trail on Monday in these shoes, the first time I'd worn the new ones. Needless to say, I'm stoked. Hope ASICS comes out with another like these before these ones wear out.Speaking of wearing out, the first pair wore out quickly at the widest part of the foot, in part because I needed an extra half-size AND I have a bunion on my left foot, but also because they are rather narrow. This is not my favorite feature, but it's worth the trade-off if you're looking for straight-up speed.

Gift to grandson
This is a gift item ordered for my grandson who started cross-country running. He has wide, big (size 14) feet for a 15-year-old. He proclaims the fit to be perfect though they are not advertised as wide (E) width. He's happy, that makes me ecstatic.

Great quality track shoe
My son LOVES these. They fit him perfectly. When he first saw them he assumed they would be too narrow as he has wide feet but the material they’re made out of seemed to have give and fit his feet just right

Excellent shoe for great price. Remember to go 1/2 size up though!
The product does run 1/2 size larger than your normal shoe but that is normal for track shoes. The spikes came packaged with it and a wrench. Items work great for grip and speed on rubberized tracks even shaving a decent amount of time off of my mile and 1.5 mile. Break them in we’ll before taking them on a run and you’ll be treated to a great performing show at a good price. From my experience they are holding up much better than Nike brand spikes at 2/3 the cost. If you’re in the market for spikes this is a great starting point.

Bright Yellow Camo!
Got these for son who runs 800, 1600 during Track +5k in XC. He trains in ASICS (Nimbus) and we found the sizing to be consistent between the 2 shoes.Shoes came missing 1 spike so the trip to the sporting goods store cost this review 1 star.Like them, and easy to see on track! :)

ROAD RUNNER
my son is onto his 6 pair in a row of this model. He is top 2-4 in rankings (800m & 1500m) & XC for his age group 13yrs in New Zealand these are the best cross purpose shoe you can get. They never have failed and never slipped on the course, We bought some Nike xc last month he wore them to Nationals and slipped /fell non-stop and ran his worst race in 6 yrs. Biggest regret i have ever made for him. So we are going back to these. you wont be disappointed.

Way too small
So, I listened to the reviews and ordered a size up--from 10 to 11. But still way too small! I have never had a size 12 shoe but maybe with this one I get my chance. Who knows? Of course I'm returning them, but I'm not sure I'll order a larger size. It's such a crapshoot. The design is hot though.
