I was pleased to try these 'Probiotics - Chewable Probiotic Tablets - 4 Billion CFU - High Strength Probiotics for Women and Men with Lactobacillus rhamnosus - Probio 7 - 60 Chewable Tablets - Probio Balance by CaliVita International'.1. You get a white plastic bottle with a white plastic screw top lid that has a clear plastic security seal over the top. There is also a pull off security seal under the lid and the tablets have a wad of cotton wool on top, to stop them rattling around too much.2. The tablets are a pinkish white, with speckles. They are chewable, although I am really not a fan of the taste - sweet and musty, as well as being chalky and chewy at the same time. It is meant to have a natural cherry flavour but I can't discern that at all. I am fine with taking tablets, so have been just swallowing them down instead of chewing them.3. The dose is one tablet per day and this gives you 4 billion CFU of 3 friendly gut bacteria - lactobaccillus acidophilus, bifidobacterium longum, lactobaccillus rhamnosus.4. You get 60 tablets - enough for 2 months.5. Manufactured in the USA and distributed by a Slovakian company. The best before date is 07/24.6. I like to keep my gut flora topped up and will finish the course but if I couldn't swallow them as tablets, I think I would prefer buying those little probiotic drinks rather than having to chew these. Perhaps it is just me but I haven't got fussy taste buds usually.7. The product is currently unavailable, so I can't comment on the price.

I cannot say I was impressed by these tablets as they didn't seem to work on me which is a shame as being supposedly chewable sounded like a plus. So first off the ingredients are Probiotic cultures 4 billion** CFU, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Bifidobacterium longum, Lactobacillus rhamnosus, Fructo Oligo Saccharides 25 mg which sounded wonderful but for some reason I felt my body had the opposite effect. They are small round pinkish looking chalky tablets which are supposed to be cherry flavour but I could not detect any cherry at all and more a malty taste. I actually found them very hard to even chew as I suffer with a dry mouth and found they just kept sticking to the inside of my mouth. So it ended up with me either biting and trying to swallow which made it worse or just knocking back with water like normal tablets.. Normally with such tablets they make my body just flow in the toilet department but if anything these just made me bunged up. Not impressed but also very expensive for such a small tub of tablets in my book.

These probiotic tablets contain a nice supply of good bacteria. I cannot comment on the price as this isn't available to see at the time of writing this review.However, to be honest, I find them repulsive to chew and have started taking them with water as usual which defeats the whole point of getting this brand which is meant to be 'chewable'. The flavour is bitter and the texture is dry and dusty and difficult to swallow like a combination of chalk, styrofoam and edible paper compacted into a lump.Overall I would not recommend them as there are so many other pill-form brands available which are more pleasant to take.I hope you find this review helpful.

I have to take a large amount of medications everyday & some of them knock my gut health for six. This can lead to feeling nauseous & poor digestion. So I take some form of probiotic daily to keep my gut health topped up. Usually this was in the form of a certain brand of yogurt drink, but I can't always get them out here in the sticks so having a supply of non-perishable tablets comes in handy. Unfortunately many of the tablets/capsules taste & smell revolting. I had one brand that I kept sealed in a room I don't use much as the smell was all pervasive and gave me the dry heaves being in the same room as.These ones from CaliVita are a different kettle of fish. They come in a recyclable plastic bottle with security sealed lid, but on opening the smell is quite pleasant, cherry. Artificial cherry, but still cherry with little to no nasty smell lurking there too. These are chew-able tablets, I'd be quite happy swallowing tablets if they didn't smell so bad, but I thought I'd give the chewing them ago. They don't taste as cherry like as they smell. More of an overly sweet general fruitiness with a hint of cherry. They have a chalky texture at first which rapidly turns sticky & adheres to the teeth. It's not unpleasant, but I'd rather just swallow the ting to be honest. They should be taken about half an hour before eating. Each tablet contains the following: Probiotic cultures 4 billion** CFU, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Bifidobacterium longum, Lactobacillus rhamnosus, Fructo Oligo Saccharides 25 mg. These will help you break down Lactose sugars found in dairy products, prevent "bad" bacteria colonising your gut & generally keep your guts & so you healthy. I've been taking them for a month now & my stomach feels good, my other medications don't make me feel so lousy & my digestion has been great.Price wise the bottle of 60 tablets costs £19.99 or £0.33 pence per tablet/day. The initial price may seem a lot, but if I were buying a leading brand of probiotic yogurt drink it would cost me £3.75 for 12 bottles which would work out to £0.31/day. But the tablets have a much longer shelf life & are easy to carry with you if you are on the go as they don't require refrigeration.
