used but good
it was to arrive in the beginning of the month then I was worried, but fortunatelly arrived. It was used ( it would be good to show the conditions on pics in the adds) then some pages already colored. the cover has some minor damages but its in good condition. Great book with beautiful illustrations.

Colouring book but, much more.
I know that this seems expensive for a colouring book but, it is a lot more than that.It is a bestiary as well as a colouring book.It is hardback so, feels like an impressive tome. The typeface and general feel of the book are quite medieval an fitting with the subject matter. The paper quality appears to be high but, due to the nature of the book, printing is on both sides of the page so, there is the possibility that if felt pens were used, they might bleed through.I haven't tried felt pens so, cannot say if the above is likely to happen to you.I used a variety of coloured pencils. The paper is rough enough to give a good purchase with the pencils while not too rough so that they don't work well.I always, when colouring put several pieces of card behind the page i am working on so that there is no bleed through or, pressure transfer as i am extremely heavy handed! This was enough to prevent pressure transfer of the black ring on the pages behind the one i was colouring. The print on the front cover is shiny and golden and again in keeping with the style of the book. One page has a full spread of a beast and the following page has a description and explanation of that beast. There is a 'faded' picture of each beast on the page with the description offering a second opportunity to colour it or, if you prefer, you can leave that one as greyscale. It is not a book that can be completed quickly. I would imagine that it will take me weeks/months to complete but, it will feel like a massive achievement and leave you with a keepsake for the future.

Awesome.
I didn't look too closely at the details when I ordered this book. I was expecting a basic, paperback with some pictures of beasts that hopefully looked as beautifully done inside as they do on the cover.I was pleasantly surprised to receive a hardcover book, especially for the price, and even more pleased to see that the artwork inside is beautiful and a lot of fun to colour. It's like going through an old Dungeons and Dragons bestiary, with the beasts separated into sections with well written descriptions. I haven't had this much fun colouring in a while! I use pencils, but for those that use pens, the pages seem thick and sturdy enough for them.I will be looking for more like this.

Great book for colouring with fine tipped pens
The colouring book is perfect for teens who love to learn basic mythology and to try colour ideas for different types of creaturesThe book is also great for adults who can spend that little bit extra time to colour in the details of each pageSpent over 100 hours creating crazy monster skins and effects on their feathers and then another 100 hours just making happy little clouds and making dark wooden trees and then setting everything on fire With the Phoenix at the endPerfect book (but would have loved the hardback to be a little more sturdier and heavier to keep pages pressed together)

Beautiful
I was surprised by this book I really was, it's been on my wishlist for a while and finally brought it when I saw it on sale for £4:99. When it arrived this morning it quickly turned into my favourite purchase (I ordered 2 other books as wel), it's beautiful lovely thick pages with loads of information on mythical beasts. I can't wait to start to colour it and hopefully it will take pride of place on my bookcase to be passed down to my kids
