Feels nice on the lips, has a great color that’s buildable . Works nicely as a cheek tint too. Ended up buying another color I liked it so much.

The media could not be loaded.  This review is for the shade "Gentle Shower," which is a natural, brownish pink color. I am very fussy about lip products. I prefer natural colors and finishes, I avoid products that clog the pores on my lip line, I don't like sticky/tacky glosses, many products are too drying and trigger my lip biting habit, etc. All of that considered, when I first applied this Pony Effect lip tint I was thrilled. It goes on like a watery gel and is unlike any other product I've tried. Even though it's on the watery side, it doesn't evaporate like a regular lip tint. It's just moisturizing enough to soften my lips but doesn't leave any kind of tacky finish like traditional glosses. A lot of lip stains I've tried in the past really dry out my lips but this one doesn't. When it wears off my lips feel like my normal lips. It can be applied thicker for a richer color, or as a sheer wash for a lip-blush effect. I did notice that when I applied it thickly, it didn't go on very evenly and I had to use the applicator to move product around a little bit to even things out. I tapped my lips with my ring finger and preferred that look.I love the formula, and love the color, however it doesn't last as long as I think it should for the price. If you see my photo, you can see how much it faded after one hour and one mug of coffee. The staining effect is still present after that amount of time but it's subtle. As someone who doesn't wear a lot of makeup I really don't mind the faded look but it does lose one star for that.

This is not a sheer, delicately tinted gel-based product as implied by photos. It is a gloss, and a highly pigmented one; I chose "Sunset Wave" for the almost nude peachy beige look in the photos, but in reality it comes out as a pretty dark, bold red, the closest shades to which it appears on real lips would be the two darker red-based ones shown along with it: one is "Misty Moonlight" and the other "Midnight Splash." I can't imagine how darkly pigmented those shades are in reality, if one of the lightest choices turns out like them. Total disappointment to be shown exactly what I was looking for, then given close to its opposite. I have noticed this particular kind of misrepresentation to be very common with the lip color products. I don't know if it takes more work or is more expensive to create the product that is dangled as bait, but it suggests that many people are looking for that sheer tint without sparkle or shine added.Manufacturers: Why not just make it for us, then? I might try myself! One would need to find a glycerin base, that jelly-like or gel type of lip balm in a squeeze tube (but no petroleum products for me), with just a hint of whatever true color one wants...How hard could this be, manufacturers? You could add an SPF and mark up the price, even...

Going to order in a few more colors!

Tried this on my never ending search for a brown/neutral lip stain. It was a lovely, sheer, moisturizing liquid lip. Not a stain. Transferred on anything my lips touched, but some color did remain and last a few hours. The shade was nice, but still not as brown/warm as I hoped. Closer to a brick red. I don’t know why anyone can’t come out with a genuine warm hued stain!!! They are ALL pink/red/berry.

Saw this on Instagram and it was a lovely sheer, buildable color in the vid. This is in no way, shape or form sheer. It's a full on deposit of color as dark as tube, the first time you swipe it across your lips. I had to blot to get some of the color off and make it wearable for me. Also it's not very moisturizing and feels sticky after application. The color is lovely after blotting but it doesn't have any sort of staying power as well as transfers onto everything. I'll finish this tube but won't be purchasing another. If you're looking for sheer buildable color, look somewhere else.

This is a review of the PONY EFFECT Hydro Volume Lip Tint.I got this lip tint in the 05 Gentle Shower color and it is really pretty and would be flattering on a lot of different skin tones. It is much brighter in person once you put it on; it really brings some welcome color to my usually pale face.The lip tint is easy to put on and it really stays on for a long time. Even when it starts to wear off, you still have some color reminding on your lips.My only issue with this is that I have older skin with some slight lines above my lip and often glosses can bleed or feather into those lines. That is really the case with this lip tint so personally I use a lip liner to help out. If you don’t have this issue I think you would really love this.

It has a nice doe-foot applicator in a lovely rectangle container that makes application easy. It is just a sheer tint but it works well. The color 005 Gentle Rain is very pretty and a pink-brown that is a really nice, neutral shade but it is on the warm side. It can be worn alone or as a topper over lipstick.The gloss comes safety sealed and is made in Korea. It expires 10.23 and should be used within 12 months of opening.
