I purchased two journals: one green leather and one distressed brown. I liked the more refined finish of the green one. The distressed on just looked fake.I thought the paper would be better. I wasn’t expecting perfect since it’s handmade but the tool marks left through the pages was really off putting. It really shows that there was very little care in the production but I guess that’s why it’s so cheap. If it was in just one journal I would have been like oh well but it was in both journals.The binding was also very unfinished, too. From the outside the spine looks nice but when you view the binding to see how the pages are put together it’s very ugly and unfinished. Since they use thick strands of leather to bind the segments you can see the knots to keep it from falling apart and the frayed entry points. It’s not worth the effort to return. I would not buy from this brand again in the future. I had seen some other journals that they offered but thought I would try this out first to see. Definitely not worth the money.

Wonderful item, bought one and loved it so much got one for my girlfriend. She needs to capture her thoughts each day regarding an unhappy marriage to a mental Vietnam vet. I’m using mine to capture grateful thoughts each day. Whatever you need to write, this is a cool item. Works for all teens too, rough looking dark leather withl long double wrap leather tie to tuck securely around book. Blank rough pages, need felt tip pen to enhance it. Love mine, it’s my secrets all wrapped tightly up.

This book looks very vintage just like the pictures. No issues with the pages sticking or ripped. 5/5 stars

This is perfect journal to be used several years. Holds thoughts and recipes. Love it

This took me by surprise, when you get it the feel and look is even better then the picture. Its a perfect travel size, not too small not too big. The parchment is thick good quality.

Journal is nicely made, really nice. Not my type of writing journal. I will use this as journal for a special vacation this year. Really would make a great gift. Very Harry Potter style of book.
