The key it self isn't the right size but with a little trimming you can make it work overall and okay product.

The key won't get cut but the remote switch is easy

The key fob is great - the key that comes with it is useless. I pulled my old key off the original broken fob and filed it little to fit the key holder on the new fob - took about 5 mins and all now works fine.The original key pulls out of the fob, knock out the roll pin with a pin punch and pull the plastic off the end and you have just the original key. Take the new key fob apart ( you have to anyway to insert the original fob electronic board) knock the roll pin out of the new key and remove the new key from the holder. The original key shaft is a little shorter, wider and thicker at the mounting end so 5 mins with a small file and you can shape the shaft end of the original key to fit the new fob key holder ( I think it took me about 3 mins as the keys are a soft metal).Just fix the original key in the new holder and tap in the roll pin, put in the electronic board and reassemble and you are golden.

The key does not fit the 2004 LR Discovery ignition switch as stated.

The best key cutter shop in LA who has previously made keys for my car was unable to get this to work. fortunately it was cheap at $12 or so , no great loss. Just a waste of my time.

I'm updating my review. The tip of the blank to the stop is a different length than the stock key and will not work. Can not be cut.

Went to get the key cut at the lock smith and they said the shoulder height of this key is off and therefore won't work for my car.
