Brings back memories from my own childhood
Who doesnโt love choose your adventure books?! I was super excited about finding these forbtojnger readers. My child is very sensitive to โscaryโ things so I was pleased to find younger reader books. However it still gets a bit creepy for him. Like thoughts of the dog being stolen and taken etc etc.So for really really young readers maybe still be a little scary but we still really enjoyed it! He choose the safe and โfriendlierโ path.

Happy endings galore!
I love this one - every path we've gone down so far has led to a happy ending. My 5 year old has a few of these adventure books that he won't let me read now because they have scary or sad endings but this one so far is all happy endings, which is nice right before bed.

This book was so much better than the robot books. We will have fun with it.

3/4
This is one of four books like this I bought for my four year old nephew and he loves it. While reading this one there is an option to stand up to a bully, which in a real life scenario could have led to a fight and lil B commented on how he (himself) didn't want to get in trouble for fighting in the book so it was a nice opportunity to have a another conversation about how the books overlap with reality and change certain rules (in books you don't have to worry about getting hurt or getting in trouble for a choice, so you can as the consequences of actions without them being diluted or corrupted by emotions).

The best series in the world, then and now
When I was a little girl we used to read these wide eyed until we reach the ending! Unsatisfied, I'd start all over again and do another story, and another story, until I've exhausted all possibilities. Sometimes, my sister would accuse me that I peek at the endings. Lol. That was 30 years ago. Now I bought it for my 6 year old son hoping he will catch the fervor I had for these books, I never wanted to put these books down!

Perfect for younger child. Not dark
I am so excited to find a choose your own adventure book for my five year old. This is perfect for her level. The others are a little too dark for a young child, but this book is light and easy to understand. I hope to find more like these.

I like this book and the kids love making decisions but ...
I like this book and the kids love making decisions but I'm not a fan of the bully in the story - wish the author would update it a bit.

My 8 year old son loves this book
This book is from the original author of the Choose your Own Adventure books I read as a teenager, however, he has specially written this for younger children aged 6-8 with large print, animations and shorter stories (75 pages in total) to keep younger children entertained as the original books are rather long and can be scary. Thankfully this book isn't scary and doesn't have sad endings, each of the possible 10 endings are happy. The story is obviously about a lost dog. The animations are bright and colourful. Yes this is an American book and as such you can expect American names and lots of references to 'mom' but this doesn't detract from the fun and exciting storylines, my son has great fun making the decisions on what happens next and finding out the outcome, he also learns a little about consequences of decisions.

A great read
I bought this book for my sons as I remember reading a choose your own story book when I was kid and thoroughly enjoying it. I was sure what age this was aimed at though and I would say its a bit basic for my 9 year old. (He did enjoy the novelty value of picking what to do next and it inspired him to write his own similar style story for literacy in school) It was perfect for my 6 year old. I'd recommend this then for 5-6year olds.
