Holographic Basketball - Size 5 (27.5"), Size 6 (28.5"), Size 7 (29.5") Indoor/Outdoor Reflective Glowing Leather Basketball for Adults

The media could not be loaded. I bought a holographic basketball, a holographic volleyball, and a holographic football for my nieces and nephews, for Christmas. The balls were definitely among their favorite presents, and I highly recommend these products; however, buyers need to understand that the balls only appear to glow if you are WEARING a HEADLAMP of some sort.These balls are coated with the same type of material George Lucas used to coat the lightsaber props when he filmed the original 'Star Wars' (you can probably find behind-the-scenes footage on YouTube). It's incredible material, which is also used in safety vests, dog leashes, etc., but it only reflects light DIRECTLY BACK TO THE LIGHT SOURCE, not in all directions. That's why these look great when photographed with a flash but look black when photographed without a flash.If you buy these balls hoping that the floodlight mounted above your garage will illuminate them, you're going to be sorely disappointed. If you buy them thinking that they're going to glow by themselves, without any outside illumination, you're going to be sorely disappointed. They are HIGHLY REFLECTIVE balls that reflect a very narrow cone of light DIRECTLY AT THE LIGHT SOURCE.The first company that manufactured holographic balls made it very clear in their marketing that you need a light source near your eyes in order to see the glowing effect—that company even sold athletic goggles with lights mounted to them, for this purpose. Unfortunately, some of the other manufacturers and/or sellers don't make this as clear; therefore, there are numerous reviews complaining that the balls don't actually glow or aren't actually reflective.I bought my nieces and nephews an eight-pack of headlamps for $17 (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09KLPX9WF), and those work great to illuminate the balls. My family absolutely have fun with this unique ball!!! It's a standard size ball, good grip(my son said it could've had more grip), it bounces really well, LOOKS AWESOME AT NIGHT-and looks just as good when it's not illuminated. So many people asked where they can get this! It comes with a pump. We have used and had this ball for 4 months.

This ball works exactly as advertised. I had lots of fun with friends with it.

This reflective basketball was a great guy for Christmas for my nine year old son. It was easy to inflate and I liked that you had the option to buy a couple different sizes.

Quality brightness

The media could not be loaded. Great bounce. Beautiful ball! Glows when you record or take a picture with the flash. My eleven year old loves it !!

We typed in “glow in the dark basketball”…. And this popped up, so we thought it “glowed”, it doesn’t glow …. our fault…. Oh well.

We tried this ball on Christmas night. Not as reflective as it showed in the pictures. My 13 yr old was disappointed. Still works as a basketball.
