Easier to insert cables that previously used products
I found that the channels and accommodation for more cables easier to install than a previously used one channel cord protectors. The material was softer and easier to insert the cables.

Looks good, works well
I have several brands of these floor cord protectors from various brands. This is my new favorite because of the 3 separate channels. Unlike some, the color is exactly what it looked like in the pictures on the website (at least for the brown I used). The channels adequately fit and have held the three separate cables, and it's stayed flat on the floor (even without adhering it, which I typically don't do). And the price was better than some other brands I have where it only had one channel for a cable.A couple things to know. First, the mistake many seem to make is to just try to use it straight out of the box. That's now how it works. You should first soak it in very hot water for at least five minutes. This substantially softens it up and makes it far easier to cut it to the desired length, insert the wires and mold it to the flat shape you want on the floor. The effect doesn't last indefinitely so time it that you do all that asap after taking it out of the water, preferably within 5-15 minutes. Second, after you initially place it on the floor, weigh it down with heavy objects for a couple hours -- I used stacks of books but anything will do. This will force it flat while it cools off and re-hardens and help keep it flat indefinitely even after you take the weight off.Note that the center channel is larger than the two side channels and you should not buy this having the expectation that you can stuff thick cables in all three channels or a very thick cable even in the center one. I used the center channel for a thicker-than-average HDMI cable and the side channels for typical diameter HDMI cables. But if you, for example, have something akin to an outdoor rated extension cord, it's not going to work in any of the channels and this isn't desired for that. This is optimally designed for, say, an indoor rated power cable in the center and a single (not bundled multi) speaker or AV cable on each side. If you think you can put any cable in it, you're going to end up annoyed that the mouth of the channels doesn't completely re-conform to its shape and the cable partially pushes out -- that's not a design flaw, just misuse. Also note that the channels start out not looking like the picture on the Amazon product page -- they are flatter. But after soaking them in hot water and inserting the cables they adapted to something more like the picture. Without the hot water step, it would have been an exercise in frustration.

Good sturdy stuff - installation not for weak wrists!
I have a couple of pieces of Cat 5 running to another part of the house and I've never liked that I covered the cables with throw rugs where they run across doorways. So I saw this stuff and took a chance and I'm glad I did. It is very sturdy and it will not present a trip hazard like my old throw rugs. It's pretty easy to install, but you do have to wrestle with it a little. It does cut easily enough with household scissors - measure twice and cut once! But working the channels open and pushing the cables in requires some oomph on your part. It's not real obvious how to get your cables into the middle channel; you will have to turn your cut piece upside down with the bottom, flat surface facing you. Then put your oomph into it and bend the whole thing in half lengthwise bending away from you - it will pop right open. This is easier if you kneel on the floor and support the Protector with your legs while you bend it. Peeling the backing off the included double sided tape (used to hold the Protector to the floor or carpet) is a bit of a challenge. I used my x-acto knife to make it easier. But stick the tape to the underside of the protector before you peel the backing, or you will have a mess of tangled tape on your hands. One plus: it comes coiled up in a box and I thought that it would be a problem getting it lie flat after uncoiling it. Not so! After you cut it, it will lay nice and flat with virtually no effort on your part. The two side channels will probably each hold only one length of cable not much larger than a piece of Cat 5. The larger middle channel will hold probably 3 pieces of said Cat 5 or a fairly heavy duty outlet strip cord. This is a good sturdy, commercial grade product which is pretty easy to install. Now get rid of those dangerous throw rugs!

Now this is more like it!
I recently posted a review of a wretchedly substandard cord protector material. That stuff was so bad that I tried again. This material is worlds better.First, it lies flat. I didn't have to warm it up with a heat gun to make it lie just sorta flat. Next , some smart person decided that not only the center channel, but also the two outside ones, can hold a cable. The outside ones are readily accessible. If you need the center one, you'll need to spend a moment with a single-edged razor blade or something similar to open it up. The material is molded so that only a very thin bit of material needs to be severed in order to reveal the center channel.I needed five feet of of material, and all three channels. It took perhaps 30 seconds to open up the center channel, then two or three minutes to route my cables (a large HDMI cable, a heavily clad TOSLink cable, and a two-wire AC cord. into the piece. The result lies perfectly flat, and the color is a reasonably good match to my pseudo-oak laminate flooring. I'm withholding the fifth star only because I suspect that I'm compressing all three cables when I step on the material. If all's well in a month or two, maybe I'll be back.

Works very well but is annoying to set up
TLDR: Works very well but is annoying to set up which is why I deducted a star....The reason for this product being hard to set up is you need to actually open the parts that you put the wires in which is not an easy task then get the wire in while keeping the rubber part open. The picture on the amazon page displays the channels already open but this is not the case. That being said, once getting past the set up issues...the product does a great job at being low profile, reducing the tripping hazard of wires to almost zero and concealing wires that would otherwise be really ugly.PROS-Comes with double sided tape making adhering the product where you want it a breeze-VERY easy to step over and feels good to step on-Blends in well with the floor. I have actually needed to point out that this unit was there for people to notice it since we are trained to just step over things like thisCONS-Hard to open channels and set up-Cant move wire once set up and it would be reallllly difficult to add more wires once adhereSide comment: This product will probably only work on a surface that the two sided tape can be adhered to well since the product comes in a spiral and not flat so it will not remain flat by itself.EDIT: Removal review: As I am moving soon I needed to remove this product. The double sided tape was a pain to remove as it left a very strong sticky adhesive on the floor (laminate wood). I was able to remove with about an hours combination of applying heat with a hair dryer and using isopropyl-alcohol. The bright side is that after everything, the floor was undamaged.

Overall very good end result
It was expecting a challenge to insert cables based on other reviews, but it turned to be a lot easier then expected. I would have preferred a little longer piece for my needs. Overall very good end result.
