Arches makes great watercolor paper!
This watercolor paper is nice and thick. One needs a flat palette knife to separate each page as it is sold as a block of paper. Very professional and a joy to use!

What’s not to like about Arches?
I have used Arches for decades. It’s great watercolor paper! Always reliable, I’m never disappointed in results. It is a consistent product over a long time.

The best
I've ordered this paper several times as it is hands down the best paper I've used. It allows the paints to move easily and helps take frustration out of learning watercolors.

Worth it!
I’m new to watercolor and I’ve just been buying cheap paper, until now. This paper is amazing! 100% worth the money! I’m still learning and I tend to use too much water at times, while other paper does not hold up, this one does!

Shockingly better
I was using cold press watercolor paper previously but it wasn’t 100% cotton. I kept hearing that it makes a huge difference but I thought as a beginner that didn’t matter. Wow, I was wrong. This paper doesn’t buckle and the way it absorbs water and pigment gives you more control over what is happening on the page. Which is exactly what you need when learning new techniques.

REALLY GREAT PAPER
I was impressed- This paper can sustain lots of water, scrubbing and other techniques without damaging the paper- I usually cut mine in half-And I use it for my finest projects-because it is expensive- if I am just fooling around or practicing- I use the cheap Watercolor paper

My favorite paper for my paintings
I've tried other papers and have come back to this one because the paints move across the paper nicely and have just the right amount of absorption. I like that it doesn't break apart like some other papers do when you're painting layers of colors for blending.
