Just what I needed
As someone who is at a fork in my life and truly trying to find my way for the first time, I found this book incredibly refreshing and beautiful. I have swayed between religion and more spiritual paths, and these words were exactly what I needed right now to help put together my puzzle of existence. I was able to take so many pieces of Anna’s words with me to realize that I am worthy and perfect just as I am. A very heartfelt, loving, and positive book for anyone wanting to explore more about their life, soul, and the universe.

An insightful operational manual for the soul!
This is a very sweet book that gives the reader a much-needed reminder of who they are and why they are here. Recommend it for anyone who is caught up in negativity, the stress of making impossible choices that society imposes on us, and anyone who is getting stuck in a perfectionist pattern. It reminds us of the inherent power within. The author has a kind and compassionate voice and is very relatable.

A breath of fresh air
A spacious, gentle intro/overview of spirituality. Free of religious limitation. Room for each individual to have their own interpretation. A kind reminder of your worth and capacity for love in every page. I wish I could’ve found this book when I was in college, looking for answers in meditation and Buddhist texts. So accessible and life affirming.

A good jumping off point
You’ve likely heard the expression, “We are souls having a human experience.” But what does that mean, exactly? It’s based on the premise that our souls are eternal, part of the divine plan, and that our sojourn on earth - when we are human - is only temporary. It may feel like temporary hell for some, and this book was written to help anyone who feels that way.Let me begin by saying that this book is not about religion. It’s about spirituality, which is a different thing altogether (although I do know some truly spiritual and religious people). It doesn’t matter what your personal beliefs are - Christian, Muslim, Buddhist, Pagan, Agnostic - set them aside and learn to live a better, more fulfilling life. A life you were meant for. That is the goal of this book, and it’s a lofty one. In a way, I think the author accomplished this. In a way, I wish she’d gone a bit further. It’s really hard to review/critique a spirituality book when I don’t have 100% positive things to say. I feel sort of…bad about that. Plus, I’m not really the intended audience. Anyone just beginning their spiritual journey, or someone who hasn’t started but knows there must be a better way, is going to get a lot more out of this book than I did.So, as always, I’ll start with the positives. The main thrust of this book is to teach you to align your soul with your soul purpose - to realize why you’ve chosen to come to earth this time around. (Reincarnation is a theme in this book, so if you don’t buy into that, you can always think of it as genetic history you’ve inherited.) We are beings of love and each small act of kindness and compassion can reverberate in ways we can’t imagine. Being in a loving mindset also opens us up to manifest the life we want and deserve. The author presents ways to overcome the ego - that voice in your head that holds you back and tells you you can’t do something, or you don’t deserve something. In short, it’s a book that delivers hope for living a fulfilling, purposeful life.I applaud the author - she is obviously very passionate about sharing this information and it needs to be shared. However, and this may fall under the fact that I’m a very literal person and I need examples, I felt she was a bit vague with the presentation. It’s one thing to advise someone to meditate and connect with their spirit guides, but if you don’t follow that up with how to “connect with spirit,” I’m not sure how much help the advice is going to be. Although she did provide some examples from her personal life, more may have helped. Or other ways to work through and incorporate the information, be it journal prompts or practical methods of meditation and manifestation. At times, I felt like this might have been information directly channeled from her guides, which tells me she has a very strong connection to the divine but her advice meandered and doubled back on itself a lot.I did disagree with one or two points that she presented - namely that our past lives don’t have a reflection on this life and that karma doesn’t matter. To me, those are the basis for soul growth. Also, she advocated that we are all here to be teachers. In a way, yes. But I read it to mean to be a teacher like herself, and if I had been new to spirituality, that would have freaked me out.So, now that I feel terrible for not embracing this book since it’s providing a path that everyone should follow, I would advise anyone who wants more information on spirituality to give it a shot and see what resonates with you.I gave this book 3 stars.
