Langot is a traditional undergarment worn by Indian men and boys as a loincloth or underclothing. It is used when sporting, exercising, doing gymnastics, cycling, running, performing martial arts, wrestling, doing yoga and doing intense physical games/sports/activities. It is a kind of male-gym-shorts/male-sports-gear/male-sports-wear. It is worn as underwear by pehalwans (wrestlers) for exercising, practicing and participating in dangals (matches/games/competition) held in traditional Indian kushti (wrestling) akharas (arena). It is worn to prevent Hernia and Hydrocele during physically straining activities as well as after post-hydrocele operation.
