A Smart Analysis of the ICC
Rough Justice is a very accessible, well written, and well researched analysis of the ICC's first decade-plus of operation. Bosco draws on interviews with many key diplomats and ICC officials as well as extensive documentary evidence to explore how the court has found its way in a world of state interests and power. The analysis is thoughtful, and the book manages to be interpretive and analytical without getting bogged down with social science jargon. Highly recommended for anyone interested in international human rights or the role of international organizations in world politics.

A well written analysis of the first decade of the Court
This book makes an important contribution to our understanding of the strategic games that are played between Great Powers and those heading international organizations. While much has been written about principle trumping power during the ICC negotiations, this book is the most in-depth accounts of the Court since those negotiations. It offers a sobering analysis of the Court's ability to pursue international criminal justice given its dependence on others for the resources needed to carry out complex investigations and prosecutions. Even better, the argument and writing is incredibly accessible. I assigned it for both my undergraduates and graduate classes.

An excellent book on politics and the International Criminal Court.
A well written and researched book on an international institution much criticised for its unfair prosecutions. As a would be student of Law and Politics this book gave me great insight into the establishment and working of the ICC, in a world dominated by superpower politics. This book makes a number of interesting observations and is easy to read and follow.

A very dissapointing example of the way that amazon treats his customers
Its a good book, but this file format can only be supported in some devices (PC, MAC and android users only, no support for most of the kindle devices) and there's no warning on the frontpage.
