PB & J
Presley Benson and Jackson Montgomery have spent the past nine months falling in love. All of a sudden he breaks up with her, calling her a distraction, and saying that he was just messing around. With the help of her best friend, Presley decides to follow the advice from an online article about how to get over her ex. It would be a whole lot easier, if she didn't have to see him nearly every day. He just got promoted to vice principal at the school where they both taught, and he keeps popping up everywhere! How can she get over him when he won't give her the chance! How is it that every new Jennifer Peel book becomes my new favorite book? I loved Jackson and Presley (PB and J). They were a great example of fighting for, and choosing love. I loved watching Presley's progress or lack thereof in getting over Jackson. She was fierce, and didn't give in immediately. I also loved all of their sly friends rooting for them, from Coach to Miss Liliana.Besides some smoldering moments, my favorite part was Presley's journal entries. She writes her entries as letters to Mr. Bingley from Pride and Prejudice, another man who broke the heart of the woman he loved. Her letters were thought provoking, and downright hilarious. I only wish that Mr. Bingley himself was privy to them!I had to avoid looking at my Kindle app a few times because I knew I didn't have the time, and would not be able to resist this book. It pulled me in, past sleep deprivation, and made me glad that it did so.If you enjoy romantic comedies, and characters who worm their way right into your heart and mind, and stay there, this is the book for you!Content: clean (some kissing, mild language)

Ninety Days is another great one!
Ninety Days is another great one! I stayed up late reading because I didn’t want to put it down. The premise was fun and parts had me laughing out loud while the story was cohesive and moved at a good pace. Presley and Jackson were adorable and had great chemistry as well as being likeable individually. Presley was such a great mix of strength and vulnerability while her relationships with the supporting characters added a lot to the story and really helped develop her character. Her journal entries melted my Jane Austen loving heart. Jackson was dreamy but definitely had some mistakes to work through. Just when I wanted to write him off, the glimpses of his conversations with students gave me hope that he was indeed hero material. This story is just what I have come to expect from Jennifer Peel. I highly recommend and anxiously await her next release!

Contemporary romantic story inspired by Pride and Prejudice and Persuasion
A sweet contemporary story based on Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice and a bit on Persuasion. The hero was persuaded by his father and boss to break up with his girlfriend and then he regrets his decision and has to strive to get her back. The heroine uses Mr. Bingley as her imaginary "pen friend", aka her diary, to deal with the post-break feels, ups and mostly downs. It was nice and sometimes comedic to see some of her past through her "talking" to "Mr Bingley", her diary. The comparison between the ladies and gentlemen of the era of Jane Austen and today's era is golden!Jackson is an adorable character, definitely a dreamy boyfriend and husband material, yet he really should open up more and share his secrets with Presley. If you love someone, you really share your pain with them. It's their right to know after all. Presley was an amazing character. She is full of charm, humor, strength and kindness, even in hard times. She loves her job and she tries her best to be a model for her students. I am a teacher myself, so I loved to read about a fellow teacher. Plus, I really liked her unique name! She was stubborn too, though. If I were her and I still really loved my ex and he loved me back, then I would throw caution to the wind and run to him immediately, not stick to a random 90 day plan that clearly tortured her more than helped her.It was nice that we got some chapters of "couple time" in the end, because in some books there is a fully frustrating story, then the protagonists profess their love and then the story ends. Here, we have indeed a lot of frustration about things that could actually be solved easily, but in the end, we got enough love to compensate for the angst. Jackson and Presley are an adorable couple, the kind that you are never tired of hearing their conversations and watching their kisses.I totally recommend this book to everyone interested in some sweet, clean, easy to read through story. 5 stars and 2 thumbs up from me!
