Yes, This is worldwide use with dual voltage compatible 100V-240V. it will change to the local voltage automatically. you should not need an electrical converter but you will need a plug adapter that suits the sockets when you use abroad.

Q: Is the barrel cool to the touch?

The bristles are cool to the touch as is the tip,the bristles will prevent burns. I have had no problems with burns at all. The barrel is hot.

Q: I love this curling brush. But after 8-10 mos. of use, the bristles come off. Can the cylinder be replaced? I have now bought 3 of these.
