These ratchet or “click” belts are what belts should have always been. Instead of limiting you to predetermined tightness or looseness based on holes in the belt, these belts adjust in small increments, maybe 1/5”? You can adjust tighter as you lose weight or adjust throughout a day if after eating a huge meal. The belt is released by pulling the buckle to the side: be aware and alert that this can happen unintentionally as I’ve had when leaning over a table or working on or under a car when the buckle gets caught. Then *POP!* uh oh. But the pros far outweigh this only con! The leather is durable with a typical belt lifetime. My first lasted 4 years worn every day. Now I have one for “work” and play and a second for dressing up. I even bought one for a buddy’s bday. He LOVES it! You will too!

Two belts purchased at the same time a black buckle and a silver buckle. The black buckle had a ratchet trigger release on the back. Silver buckle you simply had to lift it to disengage the ratchet. I Like them both very much leather is good quality buckle appears good quality but in 31 days after I bought it the silver buckle had a pin just fall out of it. With the pin gone it allowed the belt to lift a little bit disengaged the ratchet and made the belt useless. I really like the black buckle and wear it on my tactical pants. The maker of this is in China and does not appear to have any contact information. If the manufacturers rep saw this review, and sent me a new silver belt buckle I would be happy and give the purchase 5 stars for customer service. Having it fall apart in 31 days isn’t good. The black tactical buckle works really good and I’m still using it no issues. I want to like this belt buckle very much. It shouldn’t fall apart and 31 days. Update, 9/16/22. The spring on the lift ratchet style buckle is weak ad gets sloppy over time. I recommens purchasing the style with a manual ratchet release. It is more secure.

They smell like rotten produce. The smell is so strong that it filled the entire house in just a few hours. My wife evicted the offending belts and the box they came in into the garage overnight. The following day I had a lapse in judgement and wore one of the belts to a meeting. While the people at the meeting were extremely polite, upon returning home my wife said that I now smell like rotten produce and requested that I immediately remove the belt, wash all my clothes and scrub myself before allowing me inside.Is there a way to get rid of the smell? Perhaps the seller could shed some light on its origin?? In the meantime I cannot return the belts as I’ve already cut them to fit.In short.. under no circumstance would I recommend the product.. steer clear and save your noses!!!

Honest review - Due to negative reviews I opened box in garage due to 'foul smell, sticks' etc. DON'T BELIEVE THOSE REVIEWS. There was a slight smell of leather when put near nose. Buckles are a bit heavier than your normal buckle but not uncomfortable. Both buckles have mechanical releases on them and seem very well made. Very easy to adjust (cut) strap to correct size. Didn't use sizing on inside of belt but put strap on pants and determined correct length. Straps are sewn on edges and finished nicely!! Durability will be determined after time passes but for now quality looks and feels very good. At this point, I would buy this set of belts again if needed.
