Works well!
Although I know this device is intended to be used with the sensor inlet connected to a hose, and thus able to sense the water level of a tank remotely, I didn't exactly install it like that.I wanted a simple method for automatically adding water to my pond, so I hooked this up to the end of my chlorine-filtered water supply and placed the sensor end directly in the water, adding an outlet pipe to direct flow.It just works - and consistently. Although there isn't a marking on the housing to indicate where the level trigger is, it seems to be somewhere in the bottom third of the housing. When triggered, the unit goes directly to full flow, and shuts off decisively when the level is reached. Sometimes it actuates multiple times, but it never dribbles or leaks - just full on or off - indicating that the valve mechanism opens and closes completely and securely with minimal level change.

Works well for garden fountain.
I installed the Gredia water level control valve in our garden water feature so I wouldn't have to keep refilling the "sump" every couple days due to evaporation and spillage. The valve works perfectly for my purpose and keeps the sump's water level exactly where I want it. The valve comes without any directions whatsoever but I was able to find the illustration shown in the attached photo which made things a little clearer. The float appears to be about 1/4 to 1/3 of the way up inside the barrel of the valve so that is where you want to position the barrel. Once it is positioned it is fairly precise in keeping the water at that level and will open and close quite often to give short bursts of water to stay at that level. Works well and doesn't require a ton of space to operate unlike some pool filler valves with a big lever and float attached. Would have given five stars had it come with some decent instructions.

Works
Got this for my aquarium fill system. Will use it as a safety just to make sure I don't overfill the tanks in the house. It closes completely when the level is somewhere around 5-10mm up from the bottom on the side. It does slow as the level rises, but once it gets to perhaps 20% it will totally shut off reliably.
