Works well, reliable
Worked well from the start. I've had this device for 18 months, zero issues.

Cheap solution for IP cam installs
Used this to connect three IP cameras from a difficult to cable area. Only had one existing cat6 cable to connect to. Used this switch and it performed great. POE was exactly what I needed. Mounting options could be better.

Intermittent Disconnect powering UniFi U6-Pro AP
I have three of these mainly to power each of my UniFi access points from a central PoE switch and UPS. The two lower-power UniFi APs (U6+ and AP-AC-Mesh) work fine - no problems at all. The U6-Pro is considered a PoE+ device and is documented to use up to 13W. When the Pro is connected through this extender, the extender intermittently disconnects from the switch and resets the AP, seemingly when the AP's power usage is peaking. I tried swapping the extenders to rule out a bad unit, tried different cabling combinations from the PoE switch to the extrender, etc., and the only thing that worked was cabling the U6-Pro directly to the PoE switch (not through this extender). It seems as though this extender can only deliver up to 15W per port (regular PoE) not not 30W (PoE+) as claimed. I replaced this extender with a different brand extender, and that has been working perfectly for several days now.

Game changer for CCTV
I do CCTV install work and these switches have been a game changer for me. Callbacks to add cameras to an existing installation can usually be done with no/minimal new cable pulls now. Reliability has been perfect so far.I’ve been connecting them to the POE ports on the NVR itself, and the vast majority of those are 802.3AT capable. No issues at all running 4 IP cameras from one of these switches in that configuration.I’ve also tested and confirmed that these do pass VLAN tags through if that’s relevant for your environment.Just learned they’re offering an outdoor variant of this now as well, so I’ll be grabbing a few of those too!
