It’s fine but I ended up not needing it.
Ok, like most reviewers of this product, I was installing an aftermarket head unit into my 2000 Toyota Sienna which had 2 antenna plugs going to the old factory unit.Long story short, this adapter does merge the 2 antenna plugs into a single plug for the aftermarket radio. However, when I plugged it all together, FM reception was great but AM was not good at all. Removing the smaller antenna plug made the AM come back strong. So eliminating the adapter altogether and using the factory main antenna plug, I got excellent AM and FM reception.I did power the blue wires to make sure the preamp comes on with the radio. I was getting AM from 100 miles away (New York stations in Baltimore) and FM from 50 miles. All without using the smaller plug from the glass antenna.

Works great on 2003 4runner
Radio would not pickup nothing till I added this adapter. This is an amazing little adapter.

Fits as described
Got this for my first gen sequoia that has the JBL system. Fits as described. Thought it would’ve helped my reception but it didn’t change. Could be the head unit I have.

Well made but useless
Well constructed, properly fitting 'Y' cable for electrically connecting the two side window antenna grids on a fourth generation 4runner (2003-2009). Unfortunately, that's not how diversity antennas work, and this cable did nothing to improve the reception when installing an aftermarket radio, on either of the two different Kenwood radios in two different 4runners. Don't waste your time or money.

Worked on 2007 4Runner and Android head unit
I used this with a Android-based head unit by Atoto, installed in my 2007 4Runner. You plug the (2) smaller and larger antenna leads from the 4Runner into this adapter, then plug the single plug of the adapter into the back of your new head unit. (I also followed the wiring/installation instructions carefully from Atoto...I am not sure but it may provide power to an antenna booster or power unit built into the 4Runner, allowing this antenna adapter to work correctly. Not sure about this but it works. There's much confusion online about exactly how the "diversity antenna" from Toyota functions.) Reception is identical to what I was getting previously with the factory head unit, nice and clear. I do not get AM stations very well either way (factory unit previously installed or with the new head unit with this adapter), this may simply be due to distance/signal strength and I don't really care about AM anyway, but FM is clear on multiple stations even some at a distance.

Did not help with radio reception.

Did not work
Tried it on after market car radio , did not work. Created a 37 ohm ( 75/2 ) mismatch at radio antenna input. Using a ty two way antenna combiner worked 100x better. ( had to make my own wiring to match antennas and 2 way combiner , but in the end the 75 ohm matching is a must )

Works for the 3rd gen 4runner
Worked great in my 1997 toyota 4runner to connect both stock antennas. The smaller plug for the rear windo antenna was a little tight to plug in but if you push it in there it works great. I definitely noticed a great improvement in reception. Plug and play installation once you get your center dash out.
