Best Oil on the Market
The Yamaha synthetic valve oil is the best thing on the market, hands down. I've been playing trumpet for 25 years, and have had this in my case since I found out about it 5 or 6 years ago. I was a long-time Al Cass FAST fan (with a little Blue Juice thrown in for good measure), but this oil is SO much better. Incredibly smooth action, and it doesn't break down nearly as quickly as conventional oil. I've gone weeks without re-applying. My purchase of this bottle was only the third bottle I've purchased. There are two weights of the Yamaha Synthetic: Regular and Lite. I've tried both, and definitely prefer the Regular. The Lite breaks down faster, though it worked well on French Horn. I assume it would also do well on a rotary valve trumpet. The Regular is the way to go for valved instruments, in my opinion, and would probably also be preferable for baritone/euph/tuba, though I don't pretend to have experience to back that up.

Four Stars
Works well but does leave some residue build up. Also seem to have to re-oil frequently.

Sorry Al (Cass)
One of my (older) trumpets had a valve that was hanging up. I tried cleaning and oiling it several times without success. I took a chance and tried the Yamaha YACRVO valve oil after reading the reviews. After cleaning the valve and using the Yamaha oil, the valve no longer hangs up. I've been an Al Cass user for over 40 years, but I think I've found something that works better. I have used the Yamaha oil on all of my trumpets and so far I am very happy with the results.

Yippee! Stickless Valves!
My old horn had two valves that kept sticking. I had done everything to clean them up and get them working, but, alas, they kept sticking. I used this synthetic and now I can almost keep up with Gabino, my Mariachi trumpet teacher, at least on the simple stuff. I'm learning and I can hit a high "C" for a while and the valves don't stick. I think the oil helps with the smooth valves action, but it won't help me learn Mariachi trumpeting, unless I practice, practice, practice. For a Gringo, nothing may be enough. !Viva Villa!

A good oil
Top quality. I use both natural and synthetic valve oils, but I insist on the best in my horn. Heck, in high school with the school-owned instruments (mine was a tuba) we use to mix paint thinner with Crisco because regular valve oil was not readily available during the big war (WWII). Had to worry about gumming and frequent cleaning. Not so with these modern lubricants.

One of the best valve oils on the market
Purchased this item for my trumpet playing husband. He’s been playing trumpet for about 60 years. He likes this valve oil real well

Large bottle Pours out way to fast.
The big bottle Pours out WAY to fast. Makes a mess. Make sure to get the small bottle NOT the big one.

IN LOVE
I absolutely love this oil. i had already discovered it, and just ordered more cuz i ran out. but, if you want to take better care of your horn, this is better for it than al cass or blue juice or whatever else ive found. this stuff last an amazingly long time, doesnt leave the valves black, and is incredibly smooth. tiny bit pricy but woth every drop.
